Lam Dong contributes ideas to Xuan Huong Lake landscape planning, aiming for harmonious development

On October 17, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to relevant departments, branches and units contribute ideas for planning the landscape area around Xuan Huong Lake.

The meeting was chaired by Comrade Nguyen Hong Hai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Comrade Dinh Van Tuan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee with the participation of representatives of departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of wards: Xuan Huong - Da Lat, Lam Vien - Da Lat.

At the meeting, the Department of Construction proposed plans to adjust the planning and urban design of the area around Xuan Huong Lake, including: Anh Sang Park (4.12 hectares), Xuan Huong Park, Tran Quoc Toan Park to ensure effective land use and improve the quality of the landscape in the central area.

Nguyen Nhan Ban, Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office, said that the planning of parks and landscape areas around Xuan Huong Lake should be placed in the overall urban area of ​​Da Lat, reasonably calculating construction density, landscape architecture, inheriting existing values ​​and limiting impacts on trees. He emphasized the need to focus on the drainage system, ensuring feasibility and aesthetics.

Architect Huynh Xuan Thu ( Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction) suggested that Da Lat's heritage is nature and valuable architectural complexes; public areas should only be arranged with miniature landscapes to enhance the inherent beauty, without the need for iconic structures. He proposed organizing an idea competition for the Light Park to develop it into an art performance venue to attract tourists.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai emphasized that the re-planning of the Xuan Huong Lake area must minimize concreting, harmonize old and new elements, focus on designing artistic lighting for night activities and technical solutions to ensure practical effectiveness.

Comrade Dinh Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, also emphasized that any construction or project built around Xuan Huong Lake must become an attractive place, creating an interesting and comfortable destination for tourists and residents.

Concluding the meeting, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant units to continue to receive comments and suggestions, complete design plans on the basis of ensuring the preservation of green areas, limiting concreting, planning additional areas for flower planting, and ensuring urban aesthetics.
