Pepper exports set new record in value

According to the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), pepper export activities continue to record positive results. Despite the decrease in output, the export value still grew strongly thanks to the high average export price.

  • November 2025 (estimated): Exports reach about 17 thousand tons, worth 110 million USD, up 7.6% in volume and 3.1% in value over the same period in 2024.
  • Accumulated in 11 months of 2025: Exports reached 222 thousand tons, worth about 1.5 billion USD. Compared to the same period, output decreased by 5.5% but value increased sharply by 23.3%.
  • Average export price: Reached 6,755 USD/ton in 11 months, up 30.5% over the same period.

With this result, the pepper export value in 11 months has exceeded the record of 1.43 billion USD of the whole year 2016, setting a new highest mark ever.

World pepper market developments

In the international market, pepper prices fluctuated in the most recent session. According to the International Pepper Community (IPC), prices in some major producing countries saw slight adjustments, while most remained stable.
