Leaders of the Cuban Small Farmers Association went to the fields to shake hands with Vietnamese farmers and expressed their admiration.

On the morning of October 30th, a delegation from the Cuban Small Farmers' Association and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association held a working session with the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and visited and studied rice cultivation models in Binh Hoa commune, Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province.

The Cuban Small Farmers' Association delegation was led by Comrade Félix Duarte Ortega, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Cuban Small Farmers' Association. Accompanying the delegation were Comrade Phan Như Nguyện, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, along with representatives from the Cuban Small Farmers' Association and various departments and units of the Vietnam Farmers' Association. Representing the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee were Comrade Hồ Thanh Sơn, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, and representatives from various provincial departments and agencies.

During the meeting, Mr. Ho Thanh Son, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, introduced the economic and social development situation, especially in agriculture, of Dong Nai province to the Cuban Small Farmers Association and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers Association.

Comrade Félix Duarte Ortega, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Cuban Small Farmers' Association, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome from the leaders of Dong Nai province and hoped that the two sides would strengthen cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two localities. This would contribute to fostering the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba.
