On the evening of October 31st, as part of their visit and working trip to Vietnam from October 25th to November 1st, the delegation of the Cuban Small Farmers' Association, led by Comrade Félix Duarte Ortega, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Cuban Small Farmers' Association, and the delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, led by Comrade Phan Như Nguyện, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Standing Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City.

At the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Group, and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, introduced the socio -economic development situation, especially in agriculture, highlighting some key advantages of developing high-tech agriculture in Ho Chi Minh City, advantages in the pool of intellectual resources, agricultural science transfer, and particularly advantages in processing and participating in the supply chain of agricultural products.
Comrade Félix Duarte Ortega, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Cuban Small Farmers' Association, expressed his gratitude for the warm and enthusiastic welcome from the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City. Comrade Félix Duarte Ortega stated that after visiting the high-tech agricultural zone in Ho Chi Minh City, the Cuban Small Farmers' Association delegation gained valuable information and hoped that Vietnamese leaders would facilitate future connections and cooperation between the two organizations.
