City leaders receive the Vendemiaire cruiser (French Navy)

At the reception, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong expressed his joy in welcoming Lieutenant Colonel Sebastien Drouelle and 98 officers and sailors of the ship to Tien Sa port to begin a 5-day courtesy visit to Da Nang city (from April 11 to 15).

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong said that Da Nang is expanding its cooperative relations with many countries and territories around the world . Currently, the city has friendly relations with 48 localities of 22 countries and territories. Every year, Da Nang regularly welcomes warships, cruisers, and cruise ships to visit and exchange experiences in a number of fields.

“This visit of the French Navy ship to Da Nang contributes to strengthening the friendly relationship and mutual trust. At the same time, it is consistent with the policy of promoting the strategic partnership between Vietnam and France in general, and Da Nang city and France in particular,” Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Tran Chi Cuong affirmed.

Lieutenant Colonel Sebastien Drouelle thanked the city of Da Nang for the warm welcome and hoped that the visit of the Vendemiaire cruiser would contribute to strengthening the relationship between France and Da Nang.
