Provincial People's Committee leaders had a dialogue with the people of Phu My Dong commune about investment in the construction of Phu My Industrial Park.

(gialai.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of August 17, at Phu My Dong commune, comrade Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a dialogue with people affected by the Phu My Industrial Park infrastructure investment and construction project - phase 1. Also attending were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

Phu My Industrial Park with a total area of over 820 hectares has been approved by the Prime Minister in the Provincial Planning to 2030, with a vision to 2050; the Provincial People's Committee approved the 1/5,000 scale General Construction Planning project in Decision No. 11/QD-UBND dated January 2, 2025. Based on current regulations, on February 18, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision approving the investment policy for Phu My Investment Group Joint Stock Company to implement phase 1 of the industrial park with an area of 436.9 hectares in Phu My Dong commune, with a total investment of over VND 4,569 billion. Currently, the project has basically completed the legal procedures, ensuring sufficient conditions for starting and implementing the project. It is expected that when the project comes into operation, it will attract strategic investors, promote industrial production and support services; create stable jobs for local workers, contribute to economic restructuring, increase budget revenue, form a modern production and service center, associated with environmental protection and sustainable development.

People expressed their opinions at the dialogue

At the dialogue, Phu My Dong residents made recommendations to the competent authorities on issues related to legal documents for project implementation; compensation prices for land and assets; vocational training support, job creation for local people; resettlement issues, grave relocation; environmental protection work; procedures for converting protective forest land; environmental impact assessment documents; strictly handling a number of subjects who take advantage of project implementation to cause disturbances, affecting security and order in the locality.

Regarding the contents of the people's concerns and recommendations at the dialogue, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang directly discussed and answered. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also emphasized that the Provincial People's Committee organized a direct dialogue with the people of Phu My Dong commune to inform, listen and discuss frankly about the Phu My Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Construction Project - Phase 1. This is one of the province's key projects, of strategic significance in industrial development, promoting economic restructuring and creating momentum for the eastern region of the province.

Provincial leaders always identify people as the center of all development policies. In any circumstances, the consensus, sharing and companionship of the people are the decisive factors for the success of the project. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang requested relevant departments, branches, local authorities and investors to strictly ensure the legal and legitimate rights of the people in accordance with the provisions of law, leaving no one behind in the development process.
