The first Ha Trang communal house festival (Tien Yen) in 2025

On February 10 and 11 (January 13 and 14), in Ha Trang village, Dong Hai commune, Tien Yen district, the first Ha Trang communal house festival in 2025 took place.

The ceremony includes: Incense offering ceremony at the communal house gate; announcement ceremony; indictment ceremony - incense offering dance at the communal house gate. The festival includes: Long banh chung wrapping contest; leaf cake weaving contest; traditional sweet potato cooking clay oven building contest; cultural exchange, silk house singing - communal house singing; traditional folk games such as hammering, marbles, cockfighting, banana climbing, blindfolded duck catching, traditional cockfighting.

Coming to the Ha Trang Communal House Festival in Dong Hai Commune, visitors also have the opportunity to learn about the history of the ancient communal house, hundreds of years old, established by the villagers to commemorate the great contributions of their ancestors, those who built, protected and preserved the village. Over the years, the communal house has deteriorated, leaving only ruins. In order to have a place of worship, to show respect and gratitude for the contributions of their ancestors who protected the village, the local government and the people of Ha Trang Village have called on resources from philanthropists, the children of Dong Hai, to join hands in building and renovating the landscape and space of the communal house to serve as a place of worship, to express respect and practice beliefs for the local people. This is also the first year that Dong Hai Commune has organized the Ha Trang Communal House Festival after being restored and embellished.
