(Dan Tri) - Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong assigned the Central Citizen Reception Committee to preside over and advise on a plan to coordinate citizen reception on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
At the department-level meeting on the results of work in November and the deployment of tasks for December, on the morning of December 10, Mr. Doan Hong Phong, Government Inspector General, directed to focus on implementing the plan to coordinate the organization of citizen reception to serve the Party Congresses at all levels, the 14th National Congress of the Party, and the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The Central Citizen Reception Committee is assigned to perform well the work of receiving citizens at the headquarters; urge localities to implement regulations on citizen reception and inspect, review and resolve thoroughly the cases of complaints and denunciations involving many people, complicated and prolonged according to the direction of the Government.
Mr. Doan Hong Phong requested the departments and offices under the Government Inspectorate to continue implementing the 2024 inspection plan and assigned surprise inspections. In particular, it is necessary to speed up the progress of issuing inspection conclusions, especially those assigned by the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity, and the Prime Minister.
Mr. Phong urged civil servants and public employees of the Government Inspectorate to uphold responsibility in performing public duties, discipline, administrative order, and speed up completion progress, not to leave behind any outstanding tasks.
According to the Government Inspectorate's report, in November, this agency made many efforts, implemented work according to the program and work plan and achieved many positive results.
The assigned departments and offices have issued 6 inspection conclusions and continued to conduct 17 planned and unscheduled inspections.
The Government Inspectorate is conducting pre-inspection reviews before issuing an inspection and has reported to the Prime Minister for comments on draft inspection conclusions of 6 inspections; is developing reports and draft inspection conclusions of 8 inspections.
In November, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy chaired 3 meetings with citizens. The work of receiving citizens, handling petitions, coordinating with security forces and local working groups to propagate and mobilize citizens who have filed complaints and are still residing in Hanoi to return to their localities; ensuring security and order during the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly.
Currently, the inspection agency is building a report on inspection results, reviewing 2 complaint cases and implementing 2 cases assigned by the Prime Minister.
