(Chinhphu.vn) - On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces' Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), on the morning of August 15, 2025, in Hanoi, the National Political Publishing House Truth and the Central Public Security Party Committee jointly organized the book introduction ceremony "When the people need, when the people are in trouble, there is the Public Security". This is a publication of profound significance affirming the glorious tradition of the People's Public Security Forces, absolutely loyal to the Party and the Fatherland, closely attached to the people, sacrificing themselves for the country and serving the people.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House, Truth, chaired the Ceremony.

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh once advised: "The Vietnamese police are the people's police, born from the people, working for the people, fighting for the people." He affirmed that close ties with the people are not only the source of strength but also the condition for survival in police work.

That consistent ideology has been deeply grasped by the People's Public Security Force (PPP) in every revolutionary period, becoming the core value in building the force, which is to take the People as the root, the support, the object of service and the endless source of strength.

Imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings and at the same time implementing the direction of General Secretary To Lam: "When the people need, when the people are in trouble, there is the Public Security", each officer and soldier of the People's Public Security today always upholds the spirit of responsibility, trains political mettle, moral qualities, and constantly strives for a peaceful and happy life for the people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quoc To, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security emphasized that after 80 years of building, fighting and growing, the People's Public Security force has always imbued and strived to study and follow the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh, the Six teachings of Uncle Ho on the "Qualities of a Revolutionary Public Security Officer", including the teachings: "Regarding the People, we must be respectful and polite", "Our Public Security is the People's Public Security, serving the People, and relying on the People to work", "When the People help us a lot, we will be successful a lot, when they help us a little, we will be less successful, when they help us completely, we will be completely victorious". Thereby, the People's Public Security Forces have continuously grown and strengthened in all aspects, demonstrating heroic qualities, steadfastness, loyalty to the Party, devotion to the people, not afraid of difficulties and hardships, achieving many glorious feats, affirming their position and role as the core in carrying out the task of protecting and maintaining political security, order and social safety, making very important contributions to the completion of the goals and tasks of the revolution, protecting the peaceful life of the people.

Towards the 80th Anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th Anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection, the Central Public Security Party Committee - Ministry of Public Security has directed the compilation of a book to propagate, spread and deepen the image of the heroic People's Public Security force with glorious feats and achievements; at the same time, demonstrate the determination to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws and the direction of General Secretary To Lam on ensuring security, order and building the People's Public Security force to meet the requirements in the new situation.
