In 2025, Vietnam Consumer Rights Day will be implemented synchronously and effectively. Those activities will continue to be implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2026.

In recent years, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has clearly demonstrated its pioneering role in protecting consumer rights, not only in terms of policy improvement, but also through many practical action programs, aiming to build a safe, healthy and civilized consumer environment.

Every year, Vietnam Consumer Rights Day (March 15) is organized with a central theme, reflecting the issues that consumers are most concerned about in each period. In 2025, Vietnam Consumer Rights Day will be implemented synchronously nationwide, attracting the response of localities, organizations and businesses through many diverse forms such as launching ceremonies, fairs, communication programs and promotional activities for consumers...

In 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade chose the theme of responding to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day as "Transparent Information - Responsible Consumption" to affirm the importance of providing transparent information to consumers, and at the same time, calling for the responsibility of consumers to participate in building a civilized, healthy and sustainable consumption environment, contributing to bringing the protection of consumer rights in Vietnam to a new level. At the launching ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan emphasized: Protecting the legitimate rights of consumers is the responsibility of state agencies, businesses and the whole society...

In order to effectively organize activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day in the coming time, promote the achievements towards consumers, put consumers at the center, recently, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien signed and issued Plan No. 8370/KH-BCT (October 27, 2025) to organize activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day in 2026.

The plan clearly states the purpose and requirements, and the activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2026 are organized to call for, mobilize, and encourage the participation of state agencies, social organizations, businesses, and consumers in related activities; gradually making Consumer Rights Day an important driving force and highlight in socio -economic life, contributing to building a healthy business and consumption environment for the country.

The plan clearly states that activities towards Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2026 need to be organized regularly and continuously, creating a foundation and basis for activities in the peak month (March) in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day. Accordingly, activities will be deployed, from the launching ceremony, community-based collective activities to green and transparent business spaces; green and digital experience areas...

It can be affirmed that for many years, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has always identified consumers as subjects that need to be protected, and at the same time as an important factor creating sustainable development of enterprises and markets. All policies and action programs are aimed at ensuring the legitimate and legal rights of consumers, enhancing trust and promoting safe, smart and responsible consumption.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has synchronously deployed many groups of solutions such as strengthening propaganda, perfecting the legal framework, handling violations, enhancing business responsibility, strengthening the call center system, consulting, receiving and resolving people's complaints...

Notably, propaganda and knowledge dissemination activities are promoted in a variety of forms, easy to access, suitable for each consumer group. Localities, associations and media agencies are called upon to deploy extensive communication campaigns, contributing to spreading the message of consumer protection nationwide. Practical information such as identifying fake and poor quality goods, safe consumption skills, warnings about forms of commercial fraud and scams in the digital environment, etc. are conveyed in a close, easy-to-understand and useful way.

Along with propaganda work, the Ministry of Industry and Trade pays special attention to enhancing the responsibility of enterprises, the entities directly providing goods and services to consumers. The Ministry encourages enterprises to build a consumer-centered business culture; proactively ensure quality, transparency of goods origin, provide full information, and establish a mechanism to receive and handle feedback and complaints quickly and effectively. Enterprises that perform well will be recognized and spread as typical examples in business development associated with social responsibility.

All levels, sectors and localities are also required to implement practical response activities such as organizing conferences, seminars, talks, media events, consumer sales programs, safe promotion months, and local launching ceremonies. These activities not only create a widespread response in the community but also contribute to raising awareness, creating a more transparent playground, helping consumers access quality goods and services at reasonable prices.

The theme for the activities of Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2026 is: “Information security – Building trust – Sustainable consumption”. The requirement is that the response activities need to be organized and implemented in a practical, effective, creative, economical manner, enhancing the application of information technology and ensuring the purpose and requirements in Decision No. 1035/QD-TTg dated July 10, 2015 of the Prime Minister on Vietnam Consumer Rights Day.
