Lynk & Co 08 EM-P has just been launched in Vietnam with 2 versions: Pro and Halo. This is a strategic product applying EM-P Super Hybrid technology, continuing the "New Premium" era - combining Nordic design, outstanding performance and smooth pure electric experience, fully meeting the needs of modern Vietnamese users: luxury, smart and sustainable. Lynk & Co 08 is the first PHEV model of the Chinese brand in the Vietnamese market. The car belongs to the D-size high-chassis segment thanks to the parameters of 4,820 x 1,915 x 1,685 mm (LxWxH) and a wheelbase of 2,848 mm.
The parameters of Lynk & Co 08 are similar to competitors in the same segment in Vietnam, such as Ford Everest (4,914 x 1,923 x 1,842 mm, wheelbase 2,900 mm), but only has 5 seats while D-size SUVs usually have 7 seats. The Lynk & Co 08 is also distinguished by its sporty coupe-like appearance at the rear, with the C-pillars tapered down. The front of the car is almost as closed as an electric car. The main lighting cluster is full LED, with a crystal-patterned daytime light strip. The high-end Halo version uses matrix lighting, while the Pro version only has conventional adaptive LED lights. Moving to the side, the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P has some outstanding details such as retractable door handles, full-frame rearview mirrors with stylized designs placed on the car door to limit blind spots. The standard wheel set is 19 inches and the Halo version is 21 inches. The rear of the car has an electric trunk and LED taillights extending to both sides. The interior of the Lynk & Co 08 is very minimalistic - the most prominent feature is the main large 15.4-inch screen with 2.5K resolution, with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connection. Behind the steering wheel is a 10.2-inch HD speedometer.
The center console area of this PHEV model does not have any physical buttons, even adjusting the air conditioning direction is done through the center screen. Some other equipment includes wireless charging, front seat cooling, 23 Harman Kardon speakers integrated in the front seat headrests for a total capacity of 1,600W, panoramic sunroof, interior LED lighting,... The equipment differences between the Pro and Halo are mainly in the interior equipment. The higher-end version will have additional functions such as heating and massage of the front seats, heated steering wheel, Nappa leather seats, auto-dimming rearview mirror, 3-zone air conditioning and a camera integrated into the car's entertainment system. Lynk & Co 08 in Vietnam uses a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine, accompanied by two electric motors (one motor acts as a generator and one motor for movement), for a total capacity of 345 horsepower and 580 Nm of torque. Combined with a 3-speed DHT gearbox and front-wheel drive system.
The car's battery has a capacity of 39.6 kWh, providing a maximum operating range of about 200 km/charge (WLTC standard). And because it is a PHEV, when combined with a full tank of gas, it will provide an operating range of up to more than 1,400 km (according to the manufacturer's announcement). The safety equipment of this car model is considered rich with 7 airbags, 540-degree camera, blind spot warning, level 2 ADAS system with adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and lane keeping assist, highway driving assist, pre-collision warning, front/rear emergency braking assist, and safe door opening warning. In Vietnam, Lynk & Co 08 EM-P is distributed in two versions, Pro and Halo, with prices of 1.299 and 1.389 billion VND, respectively. Customers will also have 05 exterior color options, including: Black (Sparkling Black); Pearl White (Crystal White Pearl); Gray (Fluid Grey); Mineral Green (Mineral Green); Raw Zircon.
