Doctor Cao Tran Thanh Phong's family traveled from Tien Giang to Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate April 30th at night. "The whole family chose Independence Palace to watch the fireworks because it is a special historical site. The fireworks display tonight was amazing," the doctor said.

"This morning, our family went to Ho Chi Minh City to watch the planes in the Khanh Hoi Bridge area (District 4). We didn't have a chance to stand on Le Duan Street to watch the parade, so we wanted to watch the fireworks at Thong Nhat Hall," Ms. Hien said.
