Quang noodles are included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage.

On August 12, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam - said that Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung has just signed a decision to include Quang noodles in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage, Folk Knowledge section.

The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the Chairman of the People's Committee at all levels where there are intangible cultural heritages included in the list in Article 1 of this Decision, within the scope of their tasks and powers, to carry out state management in accordance with the provisions of law on cultural heritage.

The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism also requested the Chief of the Ministry's Office, Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, heads of agencies, units and individuals related to the intangible cultural heritage included in the list to be responsible for implementing this decision.

At the end of July, the world-famous culinary website Taste Atlas updated the list of 100 most delicious Vietnamese dishes, in which Quang noodles topped the list, as a suggestion for international tourists to experience.

This list is selected based on the scores of experts and international diners who have enjoyed the dishes.

Selection criteria are based on popularity, delicious and unique flavors, representing local cuisine with a maximum score of 5 stars.

Taste Atlas believes that Quang noodles is a typical dish associated with the people of Quang Nam. This is also a favorite dish of many people in Vietnam.

Taste Atlas describes Quang noodles as a rich dish eaten with raw vegetables. This dish has quite flexible ingredients, often eaten with pork, chicken, shrimp, fish, eggs... In addition, peanuts and rice paper are also combined when eating to enhance the flavor of Quang noodles.

Quang noodles are identified by Taste Atlas as belonging to Quang Nam province and are rated 4.4/5 stars. Other dishes in the top 10 according to Taste Atlas include meatloaf, Southern beef noodle soup, shaking beef, shrimp paste, beef noodle soup, beef stew, dipping sauce, spring rolls and Hue beef noodle soup.

Previously, in March, Taste Atlas also listed Quang noodles in the top 100 best dishes in Southeast Asia.
