Appearing on The Khang Show , People's Artist Hong Van and Minh Nhi had the opportunity to reminisce about memorable moments in their careers.
Sharing about his "disappearance" from the entertainment industry in 2005, when he was at the height of his fame, artist Minh Nhi said: "At that time, I went abroad for a month, but because I was having fun and had emotional entanglements, I stayed for another 2 or 3 months until things settled down before returning."
At that time, I was a full-time student at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Film, so I had to ask for permission properly before going anywhere. But I only asked for one month's leave and ended up being gone for almost a year."
Artist Minh Nhi shared.
Due to violating regulations, Minh Nhi had to stop teaching and was banned from performing for 6 months. The actor admitted that the disciplinary action was justified. However, he affirmed that he had no intention of quitting his profession or settling abroad. He said: "I want to clarify that I have never thought about leaving Vietnam to live in another country or quitting my profession."
Artist Minh Nhi said that People's Artist Hong Van wholeheartedly loved and supported him to overcome the most difficult period:
"At that time, Hong Van was the one who comforted me, doing everything she could to get me back to performing. When I got my performance license, she (Hong Van) was the one who invited me to perform at the Idecaf theater."
My life has been half acting and half teaching. I really wanted to teach. She was the one who asked me, "Do you want to teach now? We can start a class." So I told her we could start a class. Those first acting classes, with students like Mạnh Phúc and Xuân Nghị, only had two teachers."
Minh Nhi and Hong Van are close friends who have been together for over 40 years.
Having been close friends for over 40 years, Hong Van and Minh Nhi share a very sincere and enduring bond.
Sharing about her close friend, People's Artist Hong Van admitted that she acts like a "nanny" when Minh Nhi is upset with her: "I never get angry with Minh because I understand him very well. But Minh doesn't understand me, so I'm always like a nanny who has to go and make peace."
Hong Van also admitted to greatly admiring Minh Nhi, saying that every time she watched him or artist Huu Chau perform on stage, she would exclaim, "It's amazing!"
The friendship between the two famous artists has earned the admiration of the show's viewers. Many acknowledge that Hong Van and Minh Nhi are the "sky of their childhood."
