Mathematics leads the number of candidates applying for teacher positions

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has just announced a list of 960 qualified candidates to participate in the second round of teacher and staff recruitment for the first phase of the 2024-2025 school year.

Of which, Mathematics leads the number of candidates with 223 people, followed by English (151 candidates), Chemistry (98 candidates), Literature (80 candidates), History (76 candidates)... According to the plan, the second round of recruitment will take place on August 3 and 4, 2024 at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City). In the 2024-2025 school year, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will recruit 30 positions to meet the teaching needs of high schools, continuing education centers and affiliated units with a total of 263 teachers and 74 staff.

The new point of this year’s recruitment is that there are two new positions being recruited for the first time, which are academic staff and psychological counselor for students. However, at the end of the preliminary round, only 11 candidates were qualified to participate in the practical exam for the academic staff position, while the psychological counselor position for students had no candidates.
