Muong Khuong deploys tasks in 2025

On the afternoon of December 18, the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Muong Khuong district held a conference to review the work of Party and government building, national target programs, Resolution 10, temporary housing elimination in 2024, and deploy tasks for 2025.

Attending the conference were comrade Vu Van Cai, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrade Giang Seo Van, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Muong Khuong District Party Committee; Standing members of the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Muong Khuong district.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Giang Seo Van, Secretary of Muong Khuong District Party Committee affirmed: 2024 is the year of acceleration to achieve the highest level of the goals of the Resolution of the 24th District Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025 and 7 resolutions, 4 projects, 1 plan of the District Party Committee Executive Committee. Muong Khuong District Party Committee issued Resolution No. 25-NQ/HU, dated December 20, 2023 on the direction and tasks of 2024 with the theme "Solidarity - Discipline - Creativity - Action - Development" including 25 goals and groups of tasks, implementation solutions suitable to the actual conditions of the district. Up to now, Muong Khuong district has achieved 20 targets and exceeded the targets of the Resolution; 3 targets achieved over 70%; 2 targets achieved less than 50% of the targets of the Resolution.

Resolution 10 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee has been effectively implemented, bringing new momentum to Muong Khuong agriculture, contributing to improving economic efficiency and competitiveness of the district's agricultural products. The area of key crops and potential crops in the district continues to expand to 10,110 hectares (an increase of 1,099 hectares compared to 2023), with output value reaching over 915 billion VND; continuing to effectively attract and invest in agricultural processing enterprises.

National target programs have been effectively implemented, helping to improve and enhance people's lives, promoting the district's socio-economic development in a sustainable manner. The work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses has been directed resolutely, mobilizing the entire political system to participate, and has received high consensus from the people.

By December 13, 2024, Muong Khuong district had completed 1,512 houses, equal to 107% of the plan assigned by the province, equal to 96.3% of the number of houses registered by the district. State budget revenue in the area in 2024 is estimated at more than 114 billion VND, equal to 154.9% of the estimate assigned by the province. Cultural - information - sports work has been actively implemented.Education and training, health care for the people, ensuring social security have been given attention; vocational training has been actively implemented. The poverty reduction rate reached 7.5%, equal to 105.6% of the plan, exceeding the target of the Congress Resolution. National defense and security have been consolidated and strengthened, the national border has been maintained, the district has remained stable, and no complicated problems have occurred.

The work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Muong Khuong district is being vigorously implemented.

At the conference, delegates upheld their sense of responsibility, promoted democracy, discussed and contributed many important ideas and solutions for the tasks of socio-economic development, Party building, political system, implementation of 3 national target programs, Resolution 10, and elimination of temporary housing in 2025.

The Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested Muong Khuong district to promote the results achieved in 2024 so that in 2025 it will be determined to complete the socio-economic targets set by the congress; continue to implement well the solutions with high political determination, which have been concretized by the motto "5 pushes" and "5 pulls" proposed by the Provincial Party Secretary at the Conference on implementing the socio-economic development plan for 2025...

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Muong Khuong district government to pay attention to the people's lives and have specific plans so that people can enjoy spring and celebrate Tet safely. With the determination of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the district, Muong Khuong will be the leading flag of Lao Cai province in implementing tasks in 2025 and the following years.
