I can't go to class, mom from Korea will come back to deal with it
Ms. NTTT (35 years old, residing in Hanoi) filed a complaint to the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province, the competent authority, about the fact that Victory Primary, Secondary and High School (Victory School), located in Buon Ma Thuot ward, Dak Lak province, allowed her son, D.TL (class 9A8), to be absent from school for unknown reasons for the past 10 days (excluding holidays and days off).
According to Ms. T., due to circumstances, she went to Korea to work and recently let her child L. go to Korea to visit her mother.

For the past 10 days, D.TL has not been allowed into class by the school and her mother has filed a complaint with all levels (Photo: Truong Nguyen).
On August 15, Victory School held a school opening ceremony, and students came to study. However, L. could not return home yet, so Ms. T. texted her homeroom teacher to ask for permission.
Afterwards, Ms. T's sister also wrote a letter asking for her child to leave school and sent it to the school in the protected area.
On August 25, L. went to school as usual. However, on August 26, L. was invited to the monitor's office and asked to call a relative to pick him up and was not allowed to enter the classroom.
On September 3, Victory School had a meeting with L.'s parent representative and concluded: "L.'s absences from school are repetitive, the school requires the parents to find a new environment that is suitable for the student's situation."
During this meeting, L.'s family earnestly hoped that the school would consider allowing their child to study there and pledged that if there were any violations, they would transfer him to another environment.
"From August 26th until now, it has been 10 days since my child has not been able to go to school. The school suspended him without any clear reason, and there was no notice or decision sent to the parents. This has seriously affected my child's legal rights and interests and has had a heavy impact on his psychology," Ms. T. said indignantly.

Parents provided text messages and confirmed that they had exchanged permission for the male student to be absent from school (Photo: Truong Nguyen).
According to Ms. T., she was so worried that her child could not go to school and the school did not resolve the issue thoroughly that she flew from Korea to Vietnam to handle it.
"I work far from home and left L. with my grandparents to raise. In previous school years, my child was a good student, and this year he was even placed in the school's gifted class. If my child was unruly, disobedient, and refused to study, the school would have been more reasonable to suspend him. But now he is absent from school and we cannot accept that," said Ms. T.
Should find a new school
Speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Nguyen Minh Phat, Principal of Victory School confirmed that the school has suspended L. from August 26 until now.
Mr. Phat explained that the school's fixed schedule for returning to school is August 15 every year. However, L. did not come to school and the homeroom teacher had to proactively contact the parents to discuss the need for leave with a request. On August 18, L.'s family submitted an invalid request (a family member signed L.'s name and only requested leave on August 18).

According to Mr. Phat, in previous school years, L. had been absent from school without permission or parental consent. This school year, the request was invalid and this situation repeated itself.
"The absence from school shows a lack of respect for school regulations and discipline, making it difficult for the school to manage students, affecting the quality of education. Although the school has communicated and reminded many times, it has not received cooperation from parents," Mr. Phat said.
The principal of Victory School added that, based on the minutes of the meeting on September 3 between the school and the representative of L.'s parents, the school requested to find another more suitable learning environment for the child.
Regarding the fact that L. has not been allowed to go to school for 10 days without any official written notice, Mr. Phat affirmed that the school based on Article 38, Circular 32 of the Ministry of Education and Training to temporarily suspend L.'s studies at school and the school has not yet issued a document suspending L. from school because... the Disciplinary Council has not been established.
"Until there is a final solution and agreement between the school and the parents, L. will not come to school to have time to rethink his behavior. During this time, L. can study online and follow the school's lectures on the system," said the Principal of Victory School.
At the same time, Mr. Phat affirmed that discipline is the key factor of the school to train students' learning awareness.
The principal added that on the afternoon of September 10, the school will have another meeting with parents to find a solution to the incident.
D.TL has been studying at Victory School since grade 2.
