The Russian Defense Ministry's announcement stated: "Tactical combat aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces targeted energy facilities supporting the activities of enterprises of the Ukrainian defense industry complex, infrastructure of military airfields, warehouses for unmanned aerial vehicles, and concentrations of military personnel and military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at 147 locations."

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the country's air defense system destroyed eight US-made HIMARS rocket launchers and 89 Ukrainian drones.

Meanwhile, on the same day, Ukraine said it had successfully completed the testing phase of a series of suicide unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped with fiber optic communications systems, with the process of receiving NATO codes nearing completion.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shared this information on Facebook. The announcement stated: “The leader of the product line is the fiber-optic suicide UAV of the Black Widow Web 10 project. This device can travel more than 5 km and carry about 2 kg of payload. The project developers have received NATO codes not only for this model, but for a whole range of UAV solutions.”

Commenting on the above achievement, Colonel Vitalii Dobrianskyi - head of the Ukrainian Army's Innovation Operations Department - emphasized that a very important task had been completed, thereby contributing to overcoming the enemy's electronic warfare systems when using UAVs.

This is not only a new weapon, but also opens the door for further research and development in the field of fiber optic communications. Robotic and unmanned technology has taken a new direction.

President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that Ukraine's 2025 budget will allocate 775 billion hryvnia for UAV production.
