Vietnam Development Bank builds a strong Veterans Association

Promoting the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the Veterans Association of Vietnam Development Bank (VDB) continues to affirm its role as a reliable force in the system, making an important contribution to the implementation of the unit's political tasks. Established in 2012 under the Decision of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, the Association has maintained regular activities, creating a spreading influence on the spirit of exemplary conduct, responsibility and solidarity throughout the system.

In the context of many fluctuations in the 2022-2025 period, especially when VDB implements the system restructuring project for 2023-2027, the VDB Veterans Association is still proactively following the direction of the Central Association and the Party Committee, strengthening political education for members. 100% of members are fully informed of the Party's resolutions and directives and the State's legal policies; maintain ideological stance, actively fight to protect the Party's ideological foundation. Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style are always widely implemented, helping members practice exemplary conduct and a high sense of responsibility in work.

Promote charitable, grateful and social activities

Promoting the tradition of “remembering the source of drinking water”, the VDB Veterans Association has organized many meaningful activities such as contributing to the construction of the Memorial House on the North bank of the Thach Han River, donating to build gratitude houses in Dien Bien and Lai Chau, and visiting seriously wounded soldiers at centers for people with meritorious services. Trips to the source, visiting Vi Xuyen and red addresses in the Central region are maintained regularly. The Association also actively participates in the working group to visit Truong Sa soldiers and mobilizes cadres in the system to support people in natural disaster areas, thereby spreading the spirit of responsibility to the community.

Strengthening the organization and promoting the role of members

The VDB Veterans Association is currently operating in Block 487 with members who are officials at the Headquarters and units in Hanoi. The Executive Committee consists of 7 comrades, many of whom are Party Committee members and key management officials, making important contributions to the work of Party and unit building. In the period of 2022-2025, the Association has admitted 5 new members and transferred 6 members, ensuring organizational consolidation and maintaining the next generation.

Orientation for the 2025-2030 term

Entering the new term, in the context of young members accounting for a large proportion, the Association has determined to focus on 5 key tasks: Building a strong Association, maintaining the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers; Improving the political capacity and capacity of members; Innovating the content and methods of operation in a practical direction; Perfecting the organization, focusing on recruiting new members and taking care of their spiritual life; Strengthening coordination with the Trade Union and the Youth Union in performing political tasks.

With the spirit of "Loyalty - solidarity - exemplary - innovation", the VDB Veterans Association affirms its determination to continue contributing to the sustainable development of the Vietnam Development Bank in the new period.
