Agriculture and Environment Sector - 80 years of glorious journey

On the afternoon of November 7, the Department of Agriculture and Environment solemnly held the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Agriculture and Environment Sector (November 14, 1945 - November 14, 2025). Attending the ceremony were comrades: Pham Thanh Ngai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Phan Hoang Vu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Van Su, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Board of Directors of the Department; former leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment through the periods; together with leaders of affiliated units, relevant agencies and organizations and all civil servants, public employees and employees of the Department's Office.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Le Van Su, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed his pride and acknowledged the great efforts and contributions of generations of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the Agriculture and Environment sector over the past 80 years. He emphasized that through many stages of development, the Agriculture and Environment sector has always affirmed its core role in developing the agricultural and rural economy , improving people's lives, while effectively implementing the management, protection of resources, environmental preservation and proactive response to climate change. He also suggested that in the coming time, the sector continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, proactively innovate, promote the application of science - technology and digital transformation in management and production, aiming at the goal of ecological agriculture, modern countryside, civilized farmers, making practical contributions to the sustainable socio-economic development of the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su emphasized the role and contribution of the Agriculture and Environment sector in the 80-year journey of construction and development.

At the celebration, Comrade To Hoai Phuong - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, reviewed the 80-year journey of construction, development and growth of the sector. He expressed his deep gratitude to generations of leaders, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Agriculture and Environment sector through the periods. It is with the enthusiasm, intelligence and unceasing dedication of previous generations that the sector has built a solid foundation, becoming an important support for the development of agriculture, rural areas and environmental protection work of the province. He affirmed that, entering the new period, the Department will continue to inherit and promote good traditions, strengthen cooperation, innovate thinking, improve the quality of human resources, build a comprehensive, effective, green and sustainable development of the agriculture and environment sector. At the Celebration, he also launched a special emulation movement with the theme: "Innovation - Creativity - Breakthrough and Aspiration", aiming to successfully complete the tasks in 2025, welcoming the 14th National Party Congress.

On this occasion , the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment awarded the Medal "For the cause of Agriculture and Rural Development" to 57 individuals, recognizing their outstanding contributions in the process of working, building and developing the industry. At the same time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 collectives and 30 individuals with outstanding achievements in performing their tasks, actively contributing to the cause of agricultural and rural development and environmental protection of the province in the past time.
