Department of Agriculture and Environment summarizes emulation and reward work in 2025

On November 7, 2025, the Department of Agriculture and Environment reported on the summary of emulation and commendation work in 2025 and the direction and tasks for 2026. In 2025, emulation and commendation work will be seriously implemented, closely following political tasks, promptly disseminating and implementing the Law on Emulation and Commendation 2022 and guiding documents for implementation; perfecting the Emulation and Commendation Council, launching many emulation movements associated with professional tasks such as new rural construction, sustainable poverty reduction, digital transformation, administrative reform, and building office culture. Emulation movements are deployed synchronously, bringing about outstanding results. The whole province has 43/55 communes meeting new rural standards (70.9%), 3 communes meeting advanced standards, 1 commune meeting model standards; Completed 100% of the target of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses ahead of schedule with 9,594 houses supported for new construction and repair, with a total cost of more than 599 billion VND. The movement "For the poor - No one left behind" mobilized over 100 billion VND/year, contributing to reducing the rate of poor households to 0.94%, near-poor households to 1.26%. The digital transformation and innovation movement was promoted, the whole industry had 2,003 civil servants and public employees completing the "Digital Education for the People" course, 142 officials were trained in applying artificial intelligence in administration.

Scientific research and biotechnology application activities have achieved many important results, notably the successful hybridization of CaMau1 and CaMau3 rice varieties that are salt-tolerant, with a yield of 5 tons/ha; the application of RAS circulation technology in super-intensive shrimp farming with a yield of 60 tons/ha/crop; the model of giant freshwater prawn farming in rice fields with high efficiency, with an average profit of 45.8 million VND/ha/crop. The Department advised on the establishment of the Ca Mau Marine Reserve, contributing to biodiversity conservation and sustainable ecotourism development.
The commendation work is carried out publicly, transparently, and in accordance with regulations, focusing on commending small groups and individuals directly involved in labor and production; the whole industry has many groups and individuals commended at the central and provincial levels, including 01 individual awarded the Second Class Labor Medal, 03 individuals awarded the Third Class, and 26 individuals awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister .
In 2026, the industry will continue to innovate emulation and reward work, promote emulation movements associated with digital transformation, innovation, discovery and replication of advanced models, determined to excellently complete tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's socio -economic development goals./.
