On December 21, the General Department of Taxation held an online conference to review the work in 2023 and deploy tasks in 2024, connecting with 477 points nationwide. In 2023, the Tax sector will continue to promote the implementation of administrative procedure reform, thereby reforming comprehensively and effectively, creating a favorable, fair and transparent business environment for people and businesses; contributing to the construction of e -Government .

Up to now, the Tax sector has reduced from 304 administrative procedures to only 235 administrative procedures. Deploying information technology applications for taxpayer support operations to perform level 3 and 4 public services and providing utilities for taxpayers.

For taxpayers who are enterprises, continue to provide electronic tax declaration, electronic tax payment, and electronic tax refund services to reach over 99% of operating enterprises.

For individual taxpayers, the Tax sector continues to implement information technology application projects, especially accelerating the implementation and expansion of electronic tax declaration and payment aimed at individual taxpayers and business households.

Notably, the service of registering and paying taxes electronically via the Etax-Mobile application, up to the reporting time, had 625,000 downloads and installations, using the application , the number of transactions via commercial banks reached over 870,700 transactions with a total amount of successfully paid over 2,400 billion VND.

In addition, the electronic tax payment service for individuals and registration fee payment for cars and motorbikes has had more than 1.5 million transactions paid via ibanking and mobile banking.

In addition, the General Department of Taxation has strongly and effectively implemented tax management for e-commerce and digital business activities. The Electronic Information Portal for foreign suppliers has made Vietnam one of the leading countries in the ASEAN region in collecting taxes from cross-border foreign suppliers through the Electronic Information Portal.

To date, 74 foreign suppliers have registered, declared and paid taxes via the Electronic Information Portal for Foreign Suppliers. The total amount of tax paid by foreign countries is VND 8,096 billion, of which VND 6,896 billion has been declared and paid directly via the Electronic Information Portal and VND 1,200 billion has been deducted and paid by Vietnamese parties on their behalf.

Regarding the General Department of Taxation's e-commerce portal, up to now, 357 e-commerce trading floors have been recorded providing information...

At the same time, up to now, the tax authority has collected and handled violations against 179 enterprises and 1,061 individuals doing business on e-commerce trading floors with an amount of about 275 billion VND .
