Circus industry joins hands to realize cultural industry

(To Quoc) - On the occasion of its 69th anniversary, the Vietnam Circus Federation welcomed generations of officials, artists, and delegates to its newly completed stage, located right next to the Central Circus Theater, 67-69 Tran Nhan Tong Street, Hanoi .

Present at the traditional day (January 16th), generations of artists and staff of the Vietnam Circus Federation were extremely excited to witness the inauguration of a new stage for the circus industry, the Performing Arts Center, which is built in a spacious and modern style, meeting the standards of a multi-functional art theater.

The Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, said: "Our new stage, which we call the Performing Arts Center, has a capacity of 300 guests. We can proudly say that this is the only stage in the capital designed to accommodate all types of performing arts. The center will not only be a venue for circus performances but also a place to create unique and collaborative artistic products, primarily for theaters under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. We will work together to create new and attractive artistic products to serve a wide range of audiences. Together, we will build audience confidence in a venue that provides quality and engaging artistic performances."

The square stage at the Vietnam Circus Federation's Performing Arts Center has a capacity of 300 seats and meets the standards for performing various art forms.

The Central Circus, with a capacity of 1300 seats, is located in a prime location in the heart of Hanoi and is a leading performing arts venue in Vietnam. The circus has over 69 years of history and development, marked by many significant milestones in the Vietnamese circus industry. "The Central Circus is designed with a circular stage and aims to serve a mass audience with reasonable ticket prices. At the square stage of the new Performing Arts Center, the Vietnam Circus Federation aims to serve a smaller audience segment, especially catering to the needs of domestic and international tourists , older audiences, and families... We will invest in programs and artistic works that suit the tastes of this segment. Of course, in today's competitive performing arts market, ticket prices must be attractive alongside artistic quality," shared People's Artist Tong Toan Thang.

In addition to the 140 m2 square stage, the Performing Arts Center will have a parking area for tour groups bringing audiences to the show. The first floor will offer food and beverage services such as coffee, drinks, and snacks. The second floor will house a traditional room where audiences can gain a general understanding of the history of the circus industry and the Vietnam Circus Federation. The Performing Arts Center will also serve as a place for artists and staff of the circus industry to interact, share, exchange ideas, and discuss issues related to the circus sector.

The Federation will collaborate with various theaters and performance organizers, and there may be shows where the auditorium of the Performing Arts Center will create a 3D mapping art space.

The Vietnam Circus Federation will also invite businesses to collaborate in developing artistic products to offer combo tickets for a one-day or one-session cultural and artistic experience. For example, for a show about the Central Highlands or Hanoi, local businesses will partner so that audiences not only enjoy the art but also get to experience the cultural spaces of the regions depicted in the work, enjoy local food, or purchase unique cultural and agricultural products to take home.

The Vietnam Circus Federation's Board of Directors is planning many projects to launch the Center, such as restarting the Ionah show at 87 Lang Ha Street, and the "Weekend in Italy " show featuring symphony, chamber music, and circus performances... "There will not only be shows bearing the circus's own brand, but also artistic products that combine various art forms such as: symphony, opera, dance... and of course, circus... And there may also be unique shows like: Pho show , Banh Mi show ...", People's Artist Tong Toan Thang revealed.

Joy and happiness radiated from the faces of many generations of leaders, officials, and artists attending the 69th anniversary celebration of the Vietnam Circus Federation as they witnessed the flourishing development of the Vietnam Circus Federation in particular and the circus industry in general. The Chairman of the Vietnam Circus Association, former Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, People's Artist Tam Chinh, spoke with emotion: "We are very grateful to the management of the Vietnam Circus Federation for their groundbreaking work for the circus industry. According to People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, these are high-end shows that will cater to audience demands at the Performing Arts Center. Along with supporting products, it is hoped that the new stage will attract circus audiences of a wider range of ages and backgrounds.
