September 9, inspection of law compliance of gold trading enterprises

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh requested the Government Inspectorate to preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to establish an inspection team on September 9, 2025 to conduct an inspection of the compliance with policies and laws of credit institutions and enterprises in gold trading activities.

The organization will inspect the compliance with the law by businesses trading in gold.

The Government Office has just issued Document No. 8390/VPCP-VI dated September 8, 2025, conveying the directives of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh regarding the recent gold market situation.

The official document states: Regarding the recent gold market situation, in accordance with the Prime Minister's directive, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has assigned the Government Inspectorate to take the lead and coordinate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Public Security , and the State Bank of Vietnam to urgently establish an inspection team on September 9, 2025, to inspect the compliance with policies and laws by credit institutions and businesses in gold trading, anti-money laundering, the creation and use of invoices and documents related to gold trading, and other related issues; if signs of legal violations are detected during the inspection, the information and files will be immediately transferred to the police; and the inspection results will be reported to the Prime Minister in September 2025.

Gold market update before 11 AM every Friday.

The State Bank of Vietnam is urgently, resolutely, and decisively implementing solutions and measures to improve the effectiveness of state management to ensure a safe, healthy, efficient, and sustainable gold market, absolutely preventing gold price fluctuations from affecting the stability and safety of the financial and monetary markets, and macroeconomic stability; and is required to report to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh on gold market developments before 11:00 AM every Friday.

Strictly punish violations.

The Ministry of Public Security, within its authority and responsibility, directs functional forces to take the lead and coordinate with the State Bank of Vietnam and relevant agencies to immediately implement professional measures to strictly and promptly handle violations of the law related to the gold market and gold trading activities, especially to deal "without leniency" with acts of smuggling, fraud, tax evasion, speculative profiteering, illegal trading, hoarding, and manipulation of the gold market...
