The Vinh Yen City Police are investigating the cause of an explosion at a three-story house on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street (Khai Quang Ward) that blew away more than 35 meters of the front windows, sending them flying across to the opposite side of the street.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:25 AM today. Residents heard a loud explosion that shook the ground, cracking the walls and doors of a three-story building, which also houses a soon-to-open restaurant, on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Khai Quang Ward, Vinh Yen City.

At the time of the explosion, the homeowner and four construction workers were present. All of them sustained serious injuries and burns.

Immediately after the incident occurred, authorities arrived at the scene to address the problem.

The Vinh Phuc Provincial Fire and Rescue Police Force dispatched two vehicles and dozens of officers to the scene. The unit commander said that a group of workers were carrying out repairs inside at the time of the incident, and the initial assessment suggests it may have been caused by a gas leak.

According to the leaders of the Vinh Yen City People's Committee, six people suffered severe burns and are being treated at hospitals, while one person was injured.

The incident is currently under investigation by the authorities to determine the cause.
