On the morning of December 12th, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences held the opening ceremony for the 2025 recruitment of civil servants. This aims to supplement human resources for the job positions in the units under and directly affiliated with the Academy to meet the requirements and tasks assigned by the Party and the State.
According to statistics, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences received 666 applications. After review, 476 applications were deemed valid and met the eligibility criteria. Of these, 421 candidates applied through the entrance exam, 42 through the admission process, and 13 through the selection process.
For the selection process, candidates will take a professional skills test in the form of an oral interview on the afternoon of December 14th. The exam content will assess the knowledge and professional skills of the applicants according to the requirements of the job position.
For the recruitment process, candidates will take the first round (multiple-choice test) consisting of general knowledge (on the morning of December 17th) and a foreign language (on the afternoon of December 17th); the second round will be a written test on specialized professional skills on the afternoon of December 23rd.
The Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences needs to recruit the following number of people for each job position (including 178 vacancies):
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Professor Dr. Le Van Loi, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, said that selecting qualified individuals with professional skills, expertise, and moral character to work at the Academy is extremely urgent and important, especially in the context of the Party and State issuing many policies and institutions to remove bottlenecks and unlock all resources to strongly develop science and technology, promote innovation, and national digital transformation.
To ensure the recruitment process is effective and practical, Mr. Loi emphasized that its organization must be serious, transparent, fair, objective, honest, scientific, and in accordance with the law. He also suggested that the recruitment content should meet the requirements for testing, classifying, and evaluating the candidates' abilities, thereby selecting those who meet the standards in terms of moral character and professional qualifications to fulfill the requirements of the job position.
The Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences is a government agency that carries out many important tasks in researching fundamental issues in social sciences and humanities; providing scientific arguments for the Party and State to formulate guidelines, strategies, plans, and policies for the rapid and sustainable development of the country to serve socio -economic development in accordance with socialist orientation; advising on development policies in the field of social sciences and humanities; and training human resources in social sciences.
As of September 1, 2025, the total number of staff members at the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences is 1,235 (while the allocated number of staff members is 1,488).
