“Full of love” in the flood season - Petrovietnam and BSR join hands for people in flood-affected areas

Immediately after reaching the areas heavily affected by the floods in late October, the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group (Petrovietnam) and Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) urgently deployed support and disaster relief work in Quang Ngai and Da Nang. This timely action demonstrates the spirit of "Full of affection" - in the midst of the flood season, sharing and accompanying deeply with the people who suffered heavy losses caused by floods.

In early November 2025, when the floodwaters had just receded, charity trucks bearing the Petrovietnam and BSR logos quickly rolled to the most severely damaged localities. Dozens of tons of rice, thousands of barrels of clean water, medicine and gifts were delivered to the people at the right time of urgency - when life was still in chaos after the flood. Behind those trucks was the spirit of mutual love of tens of thousands of workers in the Petrovietnam and BSR family.

Floods have submerged thousands of households in a sea of ​​water, with initial estimated total damage in Da Nang city being more than 770 billion VND and in Quang Ngai province being more than 314 billion VND.

On November 3, a Petrovietnam delegation led by Mr. Tran Quang Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Group, together with representatives of BSR's leadership, directly presented 5 billion VND through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City to support disaster relief. At the same time, shipments of essential supplies such as 5 tons of rice and 1,000 barrels of water were delivered by Petrovietnam to receiving points and delivered directly to people in deeply flooded areas.

According to preliminary reports, this historic flood has caused heavy damage to Da Nang: 12 people died, 4 people are missing, 47 people were injured, 78 houses collapsed (of which 66 houses completely collapsed, mainly in mountainous areas), many traffic routes were eroded and damaged. Total initial damage is estimated at more than 770 billion VND.

On November 2 and 3, Petrovietnam and BSR presented 3 billion VND, 5 tons of rice and 1,000 barrels of clean water to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province to support and promptly distribute to localities that suffered heavy damage due to floods.

At the same time, Petrovietnam and BSR also organized the giving of gifts to encourage employees at member units of the Group that were heavily affected by natural disasters, demonstrating the spirit of sharing and affection in the Oil and Gas family.

Representatives of BSR Trade Union and the Border Guard Command of Quang Ngai province received 5 tons of rice and 1,000 barrels of clean water to deliver to people in flood-affected areas.

In Quang Ngai province, according to preliminary reports, floods have caused more than 314 billion VND in damage, causing more than 5,200 houses to be deeply flooded (some places up to 3 meters deep), 977 households/3,600 people had to be evacuated; more than 200 landslides, about 60,000 m³ of rock and soil were swept away, and traffic was seriously disrupted.

Immediately after the flood, BSR organized direct support programs in the most severely affected communes. In Son Ha commune, Quang Ngai province, the working group presented 100 gifts including necessities and cash, totaling 50 million VND, to help people overcome the immediate difficulties. In the coming days, the program will continue to be implemented in Dong Son and Van Tuong communes (Quang Ngai province).

Previously, on October 30, BSR launched the program "Full of love" calling on officers and employees in the Company to support Quang Ngai people affected by floods. The activity was organized simultaneously at 5 locations of the Company, with flexible forms of support in cash or bank transfer, demonstrating the spirit of sharing and solidarity of the BSR collective.
