(Dan Tri) - Possessing many historical, cultural and archaeological values, Tien Hoa village (Ha Linh commune, Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa ) is considered one of the oldest villages in Thanh Hoa.
Tien Hoa village, Ha Linh commune, Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa was formerly known as Ke Khao, Khao Ru, Tien Cao. Around the middle of the 17th century, the village was divided into two villages. Tien Hoa is considered a "good land, birds flock to", since ancient times, many clans have come here to reclaim land and settle down. Currently, in Tien Hoa, there are over 35 clans living together. A part of the population gathers around the foot of Ma Lim mountain to avoid flooding during the rainy season, so it is called Tien Hoa Son village (or Khao Ru); the rest stay and live in Tien Hoa Bai village (also called Khao Dong). From here, Tien Hoa became a village with two villages (Photo: Xuan Luc).
Since ancient times, the people of Tien Hoa village have used mountains and hills as a fulcrum to settle from low to high with a residential structure in the form of a shortcut alley. The shortcut alley is not only a historical vestige but also a cultural product of the long development process in the ancient village of Tien Hoa with 12 shortcut alleys with their own names, such as: Ma, Cong, Thuong, Cua, Cut, Hat, Trung, Dinh, Chua, Troi, Nghe and Gieng Dao alley. The unique shortcut alley architecture in the ancient village of Tien Hoa is created by sturdy stone steps (Photo: Xuan Luc - Quach Tuan). Along with the alley, the village well with its clear, cool water is one of the special cultural beauties that the people of Tien Hoa highly value, preserve and maintain (Photo: Quach Tuan).

In the high land strip in Boc field, Tien Hoa village, during the excavation in 2013, scientists discovered the archaeological site of Con Co Ngua belonging to the Da But culture, with traces of primitive people during the migration from the mountains to the plains. In particular, archaeologists discovered 146 prehistoric human remains, including an ancient tomb cluster consisting of 3 individuals buried together at the same time in a sitting position with knees bent. Among them, there are 2 remains of adults (1 male, 1 female, about 50-60 years old) and 1 child (a few months old), dating back about 5,000-6,000 years. Currently, the ancient tomb cluster and thousands of stone tools are preserved at the Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum. At Con Co Ngua, scientists have found a large number of axes, chisels, and knives crafted from crescent-shaped slate, grinding pestles, grinding tables, millstones, and chisel stones carved by primitive people. In addition, there are also many mollusk shells such as mussel shells, scallop shells, etc. (Photo: Quach Tuan). Mr. Vu Thanh Tung, a cultural officer of Ha Linh commune, said: "In the original village of Tien Hoa village, there are currently about 60-70 households that still preserve traditional cultural features. On the occasion of Tet, the People's Committee of Ha Linh commune regularly coordinates with photography clubs to restore the old Tet scene and ancient houses in Tien Hoa village, to help people fully and completely visualize the traditional Tet of the Vietnamese people and preserve the traditional cultural features of the nation..."
