According to its Q4 2024 financial report, Quoc Cuong Gia Lai Joint Stock Company (QCG) recorded several liabilities totaling nearly 180 billion VND, most of which were "borrowed money".
Among them, the woman lending QCG the largest amount of money is Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Huyen My.
Ms. Huyen My is the daughter of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Loan, and the younger sister of Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong (Cuong Dollar) - the current CEO of QCG.
Ms. Loan's daughter was born in 1983. According to QCG's 2024 corporate governance report, Ms. My holds over 39.38 million QCG shares (equivalent to 488 billion VND), or more than 14.3% of the company's capital.
This number of shares is quite large, especially when compared to the more than 537,000 shares owned by his older brother, Quoc Cuong.
The report also stated that Ms. My's husband, Mr. Lau Duc Duy, a Chinese businessman, held more than 10.5 million QCG shares at the end of last year.
According to the report, neither Ms. My nor her husband held any positions at QCG. In the media, they are also known as discreet businesspeople, despite owning and operating numerous businesses.

This company has a registered capital of 50 billion VND, with the list of contributing members including Ms. My with 10%, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Loan (80%), and the remainder held by Mr. Lai The Ha (currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of QCG).
Meanwhile, at Lyn Property Joint Stock Company, Ms. My serves as the general director. The company's charter capital is 150 billion VND.
Lyn Property is also a familiar name that frequently appears in QCG's financial reports. As of the end of 2024, Lyn Property had a deposit of over 14.1 billion VND in Quoc Cuong Gia Lai.
Ms. My's husband, Mr. Lau Duc Duy (born in 1980), is also a well-known businessman with a number of companies such as Dai Nam Investment, Trading and Service Company Limited, Green Island Real Estate Joint Stock Company, Vo Thi Sau Villa Joint Stock Company, Thuan Giao Real Estate Joint Stock Company, Global Elite Medical Joint Stock Company, etc.
Quoc Cuong Gia Lai's stock is gradually recovering.
Recently, QCG shares have recovered quite well, following the general market trend. With a trading price of 12,400 VND per unit, QCG shares have increased by nearly 5% after one quarter, but by 32% over the past year.
Particularly last week saw a near-maximum surge after Nguyen Quoc Cuong, CEO of QCG, shared images on his personal Facebook page showing signs of restarting the Da Nang real estate and marina project (commercial name: Marina Complex).
