In the 2023-2028 term, the Ia Pa District Farmers' Association strives to admit 1,000 new members

(GLO)- On June 29, the Ia Pa District Farmers' Association ( Gia Lai province) held the 5th Congress of Delegates, term 2023-2028.

Attending the Congress were Ms. Phan Thi Kim Chi - Vice President of the Provincial Farmers' Association; Ms. Rah Lan H'Dry - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council; representatives of the district's departments, branches, and unions, and 110 delegates representing 8,834 members in the whole district.

Implementing the resolution of the 4th Congress of the District Farmers' Association, the work of the Association and the farmers' movement have had positive changes; the leadership and direction of the Association Executive Committee has been focused, close to the actual situation of the locality. Up to now, the whole district has 9 Association bases and 51 branches. During the term, 1,682 new members were admitted, reaching 116% of the resolution's target. The Association at all levels has mobilized the establishment of 5 professional farmer branches with 89 members and 37 association groups with 381 members.

Implementing the national target program on new rural construction, the Association at all levels has mobilized members to contribute 687 million VND, more than 6,800 working days to build and repair 38.1 km of rural roads, repair, dredge and solidify 31 km of canals; coordinate to build 110 hygienic toilets for poor members. Currently, the total capital source of the Farmers' Support Fund managed by the Association is over 1.1 billion VND. During the term, more than 4 billion VND from the Farmers' Support Fund at all levels was disbursed to 220 members for loans with 15 projects, 5 production and business plans... Established 5 excellent production and business clubs with 162 members. In 5 years, the whole district has 13,407 registered farmer members and 11,020 farmer households have achieved the title of excellent production and business at all levels.

In the 2023-2028 term, the Ia Pa District Farmers' Association strives to complete 13 targets: strive to recruit 1,000 new members; 100% of the Association's bases and branches have an Association fund, with an average balance of 50,000 VND or more/member/year. Every year, 70% of farming households register and 80% of registered households achieve the title of good producer and trader at all levels; every year, each Association strives to establish at least 1 professional farmer branch and 1-2 professional farmer groups...

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the District Farmers' Association for the 5th term, 2023-2028, consisting of 23 members. Mr. Do Van Hung, Party Secretary of Po To Commune, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Ia Pa District Farmers' Association for the 5th term. The Congress also elected a delegation to attend the higher-level Congress, consisting of 11 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ia Pa district awarded certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 12 individuals; the Executive Committee of the District Farmers' Association awarded certificates of merit to 3 collectives and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in the Association's work and farmers' movement for the 2018-2023 term.
