In 2025, the Project Management Board will continue implementing 11 projects carried over from previous years, without starting any new projects. The total investment for these 11 projects is over 2,108 billion VND.
These include one project to dredge the Vam Co Tay River and 10 embankment projects: Embankment to prevent erosion and salinity intrusion on the Vam Co Dong River in Ben Luc district; Embankment to protect the Vam Co Tay River section from Tan An new bridge to Da Han Bay (Long An ward); Embankment on Nuoc Man canal (Long Huu commune); Embankment to prevent erosion of the Vam Co Tay riverbank (Khanh Hau ward); Embankment to prevent erosion in Kien Tuong ward; addressing riverbank erosion in Can Giuoc (Can Giuoc commune); dredging the Vam Co Tay River section from Hong Ngu canal to Binh Chau hamlet, etc.
To date, 3 embankment projects have been 100% completed and are undergoing final settlement, including the embankment protecting the banks of the Vam Co Tay River (section from the new Tan An bridge to the junction with the Da Han Bay embankment); the Nuoc Man Canal embankment (East bank, Long Huu commune); and the project to treat erosion along the Can Giuoc River (Can Giuoc commune).
As for the remaining 8 projects, they are expected to be completed no later than December 2025.
According to the Long An Investment and Construction Project Management Board, the total planned capital allocation for 11 projects in 2025 is over 246 billion VND, of which over 62 billion VND is from the provincial budget and over 184.3 billion VND is from the central government.
Since the beginning of the year, over 79.3 billion VND has been disbursed, reaching 32.19% of the planned capital. It is expected that by the end of the third quarter, 50.5% will be disbursed, and by the end of the fourth quarter, 100% of the planned capital will be disbursed.
