The world's leading culinary travel guide Taste Atlas has just announced the list of the 100 best dishes in the world 2026 (Best Dishes in the world 2026) as part of its annual awards series.
Notably, Bun Bo Nam Bo and Pho Bo are ranked 81st and 83rd respectively in the most anticipated dishes of the year.
The list was compiled from 453,720 valid reviews for 11,781 dishes. Bun Bo Nam Bo ranked 81 (4.4/5 points), Pho Bo ranked 83 (4.34/5) points. In last year's ranking, Pho Bo was the only Vietnamese dish and ranked 91.
Paraguay's traditional soup, Vori-vori, is ranked number 1 on this year's Best Dishes in the world 2026 (received a rating of 4.6), made from cornmeal mixed with cheese and cooked in chicken broth, vegetables and herbs. Countries with many representatives appearing in the top 100 include Italy (12 dishes), Turkey (10), Japan (8), Greece (5), Thailand (4), China (4).
In addition, in the ranking by category “100 best noodle dishes in the world” (Best Food by Category) of Taste Atlas, Vietnam ranked second in the world in quantity with 18 noodle dishes (only after Japan). This list as of December 4, has 14,405 recorded reviews, of which 10,998 are valid.

The 18 honored representatives include many versions of pho such as rare beef pho, chicken pho, vegetarian pho, mixed pho and stir-fried pho; vermicelli dishes include bun cha, bun rieu, bun dau mam tom, bun thit nuong, bun mang vit and bun bo Nam Bo.
In addition, the list also records specialties such as Quang noodles, cao lau, banh canh, hu tieu and banh da cua.
In the Best Food by Category category, Japan leads the list with 26 dishes, including ramen with many versions such as Yokohama ramen (ranked 1), Tonkotsu, Miso, Shoyu, Shio, Hakata. China has 10 dishes, the rest are from countries such as Korea, Thailand, Malaysia.../.
Taste Atlas was founded in 2015 and has now connected 9,000 local restaurants, introducing tens of thousands of dishes to readers based on reviews and research by culinary experts, chefs and readers. This is a world map of traditional dishes made from local ingredients, to honor unique dishes, build pride in traditional dishes, and arouse curiosity about dishes that tourists have never tried.
