According to numerous Facebook users in Vietnam, a strange line of code (programming code) is appearing in all posts by many members, right where the date and time of the post would normally be displayed, below the poster's name.
Tuổi Trẻ Online noted that this phenomenon only occurs with many Facebook users accessing the platform via a computer browser; the date and time are displayed perfectly normally on the app.
When I clicked on this strange line of code, the link opened a new window displaying the author's original article directly below the link, with no other unusual content.
However, many users experiencing this issue are still concerned that their Facebook accounts may have been or are being hacked, causing the error.
Many other users were also confused about Facebook's strange glitch, especially concerned about the safety and security of their accounts.
Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , expert Dang Huu Son, CEO of LovinBot AI, suggested that the phenomenon of strange code strings appearing instead of dates and times on some Facebook posts when accessed via web browsers could stem from a temporary encryption error.
"Normally, these strings are decoded by the server and displayed in the familiar date and time format. However, in some cases, due to data loading issues or browser conflicts, the system may not have time to convert the coded string into the correct date and time format," Mr. Son explained.
"This phenomenon is quite annoying for users, but it does not affect security or the overall experience, and users do not need to worry," Mr. Son said.
