At the Online Job Fair in the Mekong Delta, Southeast region and neighboring provinces and cities in the second quarter of 2025, which was just organized by the City Employment Service Center in mid-June, there were 468 enterprises participating in recruitment with 75,181 vacant positions with a variety of occupations and positions. The Can Tho City Employment Service Center alone has 50 enterprises participating in recruitment, with 2,587 vacant positions. The occupations that are in need of workers at the session are very diverse and rich, such as shrimp processing workers, garment workers, technology car drivers, sales staff, real estate brokers, delivery staff, security guards, mechanics, housekeepers...

Mr. Truong Nhat Tai, Deputy Director of Hasu Asia Co., Ltd., said: “In June 2025, our company needs to recruit 6 female workers to go to Japan with an order to inspect plastic products and 12 male/female workers for a number of orders related to operating construction machinery in the construction, painting and mechanical - welding industries. Workers sign a 3-year contract with a basic salary of about 28 million VND/person/month; after deducting the remaining expenses, it is about 22 million VND/person/month (excluding overtime). In addition, in July 2025, we have an order related to agriculture with a need to recruit 10 workers”. According to Mr. Truong Nhat Tai, currently, Japan is in need of a large number of workers, including both unskilled and skilled workers to promote economic development. Japanese enterprises are actively recruiting workers from other countries; In particular, priority is given to Vietnamese workers because Vietnamese workers are agile, have good cultural and foreign language skills... Hasu Asia Co., Ltd. regularly cooperates with Can Tho City Employment Service Center to find suitable candidates. In the first 6 months of 2025 alone, the City Employment Service Center has provided the Company with over 10 candidates and 6 candidates have been selected for work orders in Japan.
A survey of some units with labor recruitment needs shows that the current overseas labor market situation is quite optimistic with many suitable recruitment orders, standards, occupations, and costs suitable for Can Tho City workers. The basic salary for workers working abroad under contract is from 28-35 million VND/person/month (excluding overtime). Specifically, Nhat Tan Manpower Company is recruiting 12 female workers in the food processing industry, 4 female workers in metal stamping to work in Japan; Saigon Gia Tri Human Resources Joint Stock Company needs to recruit 8 male workers in the interior finishing industry, pipe installation... to work in Japan.

As a "bridge" between enterprises and employees, the Can Tho City Employment Service Center has always maintained accompanying activities, supporting enterprises in recruiting labor in many forms, both directly and online. From the beginning of 2025 to now, the Center has organized 10 days of meeting employers at the Center's headquarters; coordinated to organize 4 Job Fairs at schools: Can Tho University, Can Tho University of Technology and Engineering, Tay Do University, FPT Polytechnic College, Can Tho campus and 1 Job Fair at the Center to support students who have graduated and are about to graduate to more easily access recruiting enterprises and find jobs. In addition, the Center coordinated to organize 12 Job Consulting Points at schools and districts; organized weekly Job Fairs at the Job Cafe model... Periodically every month, the Center sends a form to collect recruitment needs of enterprises via email to promptly support enterprises with recruitment needs; Maintain activities to support candidates; focus on promoting propaganda work; strengthen coordination and connection between schools, centers, and businesses to improve the effectiveness of job placement for students...
In addition, the Center maintains support for businesses and employees by providing information and job counseling through online information channels, such as: Can Tho Job Portal at vieclamcantho.vn, social networks: Facebook, Zalo, YouTube, Tiktok at Can Tho Employment Service Center. In the first 6 months of 2025, the Center has supported consulting and answering questions for over 1,014 customers through online channels; received 615 calls to the Call-Center (0292.3838 399) in many fields such as domestic and foreign jobs, unemployment insurance, vocational training, etc.
According to the Can Tho City Employment Service Center, it is forecasted that in the coming time, the demand for recruitment will continue to increase, especially for skilled workers and professional skills. From now until the end of 2025, the Center will increase the collection of information on recruitment needs of enterprises, job search needs of employees and enter monthly labor supply and demand forecast data; increase propaganda activities on overseas employment in many forms; strive to maintain good job transaction sessions, diversify the forms of organizing job transaction events; increase job consultation and introduction for qualified employees through job connection activities at schools such as Job Corner, Job Coffee Consulting Point, Job Fair, etc.
