This morning, April 15, at Tran Hung Dao Secondary School, Cam Lo town (Cam Lo district), the Department of Information and Communications (MIC) coordinated with the People's Committee of Cam Lo district to organize a digital exhibition on the theme "Hoang Sa, Truong Sa of Vietnam - Historical and legal evidence".

In his opening speech, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications Nguyen Hoan said that the digital exhibition “Hoang Sa, Truong Sa of Vietnam - Historical and legal evidence” will help each cadre, civil servant, public employee, people and students in the area become active propagandists in widely disseminating knowledge and understanding of sea and island sovereignty , firmly maintaining the sovereignty of Vietnam's sea and island borders; contributing to raising awareness in the community about the sacred meaning and great value of sea and island sovereignty.
At the same time, through this, we aim to receive the sympathy and support of international friends for the protection of Vietnam's sovereignty over its seas and islands, especially over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.
At the exhibition, a large number of cadres, teachers and students in the area were given general information by officers of Squadron 202, Command of Coast Guard Region 2 about the geographical location and administrative boundaries of the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa; historical evidence and legal basis affirming Vietnam's sovereignty over these two archipelagos.
At the same time, visit and experience valuable documents and artifacts such as: ancient books and maps of Vietnam; maps of Western countries; maps of China; artifacts in virtual space about ship models, ambulance stretchers, sovereignty markers, models of Hoang Sa Fleet ships... integrated and digitized based on 3D virtual reality technology platform along with many documents and paper maps framed in wood.

On this occasion, the Department of Information and Communications awarded prizes to 5 students who won the online contest "Learning about Vietnam's seas and islands" organized by the unit from April 9-13, 2024, attracting 3,361 secondary school students in Cam Lo district to participate.
