The program was jointly organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), the Department of Foreign Affairs of Hai Phong City and Shinec Joint Stock Company, aiming to strengthen the friendly cooperation between Vietnam and China in many fields such as economy, culture, people-to-people diplomacy, trade and investment. The event is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025), to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025) and the Red Flamboyant Festival - Hai Phong 2025.
Also attending the event were representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy; representatives of the departments and agencies of the two cities; representatives of Chinese enterprises investing in Hai Phong , partners and investors of Shinec Joint Stock Company and many local people.
In her opening speech, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Thi Bich Dung said: "The Vietnam - China Hai Phong 2025 Connection Bridge" is a program to introduce the traditional cultural beauty of Vietnam and China, demonstrate the spirit of exchange, enhance understanding and connection between the people of the two sides; at the same time, create a space to connect businesses, promote exchanges and cooperation in many fields. Through diverse and close activities, the program will contribute to introducing the image of a friendly and dynamic Hai Phong city to international friends. This is also an opportunity to promote cultural - tourism potential and open up suggestions for cooperation in the fields of services, trade and local economy .
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shinec Joint Stock Company Pham Hong Diep emphasized: As a pioneer in developing the first Eco-Industrial Park in Hai Phong in particular and in Vietnam in general, Shinec Joint Stock Company always focuses on the value of sustainable development, connecting the culture and environment of the community. The program "Bridge connecting Vietnam - China" is the commitment of the enterprise to accompany the city, and the central and local foreign affairs agencies, promoting cooperation with China not only in terms of economy, but also in terms of connecting culture and people.
The highlight of the program is the participation of two art troupes from Nanning and Ningbo (China) on May 10 and 11. In addition, the cultural experience area and traditional folk games of the two countries such as clay pot smashing, throwing balls, stilt walking, sack jumping, etc. will create a lively space for exchange, contributing to enhancing understanding and connection between the people of the two countries.
The program "Vietnam - China Hai Phong 2025 Connection Bridge" is one of the practical activities, aiming to further strengthen the friendship between Hai Phong and China, and at the same time create a special mark in the cultural life of Hai Phong people.
Previously, on the afternoon of May 10, within the framework of the program “Vietnam - China Hai Phong 2025 Connection Bridge”, the Conference “Cooperation Journey” took place at Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park (IP). The conference was attended by representatives of nearly 200 Chinese investors operating in Nam Cau Kien IP in particular and in Hai Phong in general.
The event took place with the important content of a discussion session with representatives of Chinese enterprises operating in Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park and in Hai Phong city, to listen to the opinions of investors, at the same time expand business opportunities and strengthen friendship.
Through this, businesses from both sides will gradually form a close and sustainable cooperative relationship; jointly develop specific and in-depth projects, creating a foundation for long-term companionship./.
