Melodies of gratitude to the soldiers

To commemorate the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs on July 27th, musician and lawyer Le Ba Thuong released two songs, "Footprints of a Soldier" and "To You on a Distant Island," as a tribute to the soldiers who have silently sacrificed and are still sacrificing for the independence and sovereignty of the Fatherland.

This is the work of someone who didn't pursue music professionally but was always deeply concerned about the fate of the nation.

The song "Footprints of a Soldier ," set to music from a poem by Judge Hoang The Vien, is a deeply emotional epic, beginning with a tearful scene of separation in the rear: "Dew falls on the eggplant flowers like a mother's tearful eyes at parting." The song portrays the courageous spirit of soldiers on the battlefield, with a resounding call to arms: "Forward for the independence and freedom of the country, for a prosperous life for the people." Huynh Loi's voice contributes to conveying the epic spirit and the profound gratitude of the entire nation.

Meanwhile, "Sending My Love to You on a Distant Island" carries a gentle, heartfelt narrative, brimming with the emotions of a woman on the home front sending her love to a soldier at sea. From the cold winter landscape, the song unfolds an emotional thread of loyalty, waiting, and trust: "The vast blue sea… on the distant island, you are standing guard." Singer Hong Mo, with her sweet and emotional voice, successfully performed the song, portraying the island soldier not only as a warrior but also as a sacred anchor in the hearts of those left behind.
