According to the Vietnam Road Administration ( Ministry of Construction ), as of 10am today (November 4), there are still 37 traffic jams on the national highways managed by the Central Government.
National highway through Hue and Da Nang still has 37 traffic jams
The road from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh is now clear, National Highway 1 through Hue area is open to traffic. However, in Hue city there are still 12 locations (sections) of traffic jams.
Of which, the West branch of Ho Chi Minh road still has 12 locations blocked due to landslides: Km384+100 - Km384+150; Km385+100; Km385+900; Km386+040; Km386+300; Km386+780, Km389+150; Km391+700; Km392+500; Km407+460; Km407+950 - Km408+040; Km408+350. It is expected that the road will be opened to traffic on November 4 if the weather is favorable. Currently, this area has been diverted from both ends of the blocked location to National Highway 1. Regarding the damage to Km396+050 Bridge, the Vietnam Road Administration has reported to the Ministry of Construction requesting to declare a natural disaster emergency.
In Quang Tri province, there are currently 5 (new) locations of flooding blocking National Highway 1, which is 35-50cm deep. Road Management Area II has placed warning signs at both ends of the flooded locations, and coordinated with the Traffic Police to divert traffic on National Highway 1 to avoid the flood at Km672+600 and Km704+900.

Forces are working hard to clear the road soon.
There are still 20 traffic jams in Da Nang City. Of which, Truong Son Dong Street in Da Nang City still has 11 traffic jams (9 are not yet open to traffic and 2 landslides at Km112+350 and Km126+350 have completely cut off the road). The forces have been making efforts to clear the traffic on November 5.
La Son - Hoa Lien route still has 3 traffic jams, of which 2 completely jammed locations are expected to open to 1 lane on November 5, and 1 location at Km50+700 - Km50+800(P): has a longitudinal crack that is currently closed to traffic so that specialized agencies can survey and assess the situation and come up with a solution. Road Management Area III has sent a document to the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board requesting urgent repairs to open the route before November 8.
Ho Chi Minh Road section through Lo Xo Pass has been opened to one lane at all landslide sites. However, the weather is still rainy, the risk of landslides is high, vehicles are advised to travel in the direction of National Highway 19 and National Highway 24 to connect Ho Chi Minh Road in the Central Highlands with National Highway 1.
The West branch of Ho Chi Minh Road through Da Nang currently has 6 traffic jams including Km415+230, Km415+560, Km427+500, Km430+970, Km431+100, Km433+620. It is expected to open to traffic this afternoon (November 4) with 1 lane.
National Highway 1 through Da Nang is now open to traffic.

Ho Chi Minh Road section through Lo Xo Pass, 1 lane has been opened to traffic at all landslide sites.
There are still 14 traffic jams on the locally managed national highway.
Of which, in Quang Tri province there are still 7 traffic jams (6 flooded, 1 landslide). National highways including QL9B, QL9C, QL49C still have some flooded areas from 20-70cm, making traffic difficult.
In Hue City, there are 5 traffic jams that are temporarily closed to traffic. Of which, QL.49B still has 1 location from Km1+000 - Km48+000 with 0.2 - 0.7m of water, traffic is blocked, and barriers prohibit traffic; QL.49 is currently temporarily closed to traffic due to flooding from 40cm - 1m.
There are still 2 traffic jams in Da Nang City. Of which, National Highway 14H has 1 location in the Khe Rinh Bridge area at Km65+400, with water about 1m deep. The Vietnam Road Administration has been present and mobilized construction forces and equipment, promptly and effectively used spare materials to soon clear the route; at the same time promptly repaired damage to road traffic infrastructure to ensure quality.
The Vietnam Road Administration said that the Department continues to organize 24/7 direct command and control of natural disaster prevention and control work, and is always present in the provinces and cities in the Central region to coordinate with road management units to organize damage recovery; support provinces and cities with human resources, machinery, equipment and spare materials, in which the Department has supported nearly 10,000 rock cages for the Department of Construction of Hue City, Da Nang City and Quang Ngai Province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters in the shortest time.
