from a well-educated family
Lam Bao Ngoc was born in Nam Dinh (now Ninh Binh) into a large family with no artistic tradition, but everyone loved music.
Her father was the former director of the Nghia Hung District Cultural Center in the old Nam Dinh province; he knew how to play many musical instruments such as guitar, violin, piano, saxophone, accordion...
Lam Bao Ngoc's maternal grandmother, father, mother, uncles, aunts, and cousins are all music teachers. Her mother also frequently organizes humanitarian programs and choreographs performances for students to enter in competitions.
The family's circumstances began to change when Lam Bao Ngoc's father was involved in a traffic accident and, due to poor health, had to retire early. Her mother was demoted and transferred to a different job because she had three children.

The couple share an artistic, free-spirited personality and aren't particularly good at managing finances.
Currently, Lam Bao Ngoc lives in an apartment with a rent of approximately 13.5 million VND per month. She lives simply, using items gifted by brands or buying from domestic brands.
The fees aren't very high, but the shows are fairly regular, enough for her to live comfortably, take care of her family, and save up for music projects.
Lam Bao Ngoc didn't consider her family to be in dire straits, but she never stopped dreaming of earning money to support her parents. Since childhood, she participated in countless singing competitions just to win prize money and household items to bring home.

The singer feels sorry for her mother, who at 55 is still working far away from home. Every Tet holiday, her daughter buys delicious food to bring home, sometimes even the following year because they feel reluctant to eat it.
In winter, they didn't dare turn on the water heater to wash their faces or hands. Every time she mentioned her parents, she would easily become emotional and shed tears.
Lam Bao Ngoc's love for her parents is the driving force behind her continuous efforts. She aims to buy a house with a large garden so that her parents can have a place to plant trees, raise dogs and cats, and keep fish when they retire.
The singer also wants to earn more money to properly compensate the team she works with. Having gone through a period with no shows, she cherishes what she has now.
