Manchester club co-owner Ratcliffe admitted that coach Amorim has been criticized for MU's poor start to the season. However, the Glazer family will not order him to fire the Portuguese coach.
Ruben Amorim has a contract until June 2027, but has only won 19 of the 50 matches he has led the Red Devils.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe told The Times Business Podcast: " Amorim hasn't had a good season. He needs to prove he's a great manager for three years.
There is no way the Glazers will ask Amorim to be sacked. We are local, they are across the ocean.
It's been a long journey trying to manage a club as big and complex as Man United. We're here with our feet on the ground."
Sir Jim also expressed his annoyance about the dense MU information in the media: " Sometimes I don't understand the press anymore.
They think it's a light switch. Just turn it on and tomorrow everything will be fine. The process of rebuilding MU needs time and a reasonable strategy.
No one can run a big club like Manchester United based on reactions to critical articles every week."
