Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan is the new Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee.

Lang Son Provincial People's Council recently held a meeting on personnel work, electing Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan as the new Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee.

On the afternoon of October 20, the People's Council of Lang Son province held the 41st session, term XVII, term 2021-2026, on personnel work.

During the meeting, the leader of the Organizing Committee of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee presented a proposal to introduce personnel for the Provincial People's Council to elect Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Then Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan was elected Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

According to the Lang Son Provincial Electronic Information Portal, on the same afternoon, the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee held a thematic conference on personnel work and announced the decision of the Secretariat on early retirement of personnel, and introduced the Provincial People's Council to elect the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

At the conference, the leaders of the Organizing Committee of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee announced the decision of the Secretariat on early retirement of Mr. Ho Tien Thieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province - according to his personal wishes from October 1, 2025.

Also at the meeting, the People's Council of Lang Son province elected Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen - Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province - as Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Lang Son province, term 2021-2026.

Mr. Dinh Huu Hoc - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - was appointed Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, term 2021-2026.

Ms. Tran Thanh Nhan - Secretary of Chi Lang commune (Lang Son) - was elected Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, term XVII, 2021-2026.

The session also dismissed Mr. Dinh Huu Hoc from the position of Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, term XVII, 2021-2026, and Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen and Mr. Luong Trong Quynh from the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, term XVII, 2021-2026.

In his speech accepting the assignment, the new Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Canh Toan, stated that he will work with the collective leadership of the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches, and localities to promote the spirit of "dare to think, dare to speak, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, dare to innovate".

Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan was born in 1976, in Quynh Phu commune, Nghe An province.

He has a master's degree in human resource management, master's degree in public administration, and senior political theory.
