On the morning of December 5, coach Kim Sang Sik announced that the U22 Vietnam team would not practice in the afternoon.
Notably, the Vietnam U22 team had a light practice at the RBAC University stadium on the afternoon of December 4, one day after the opening match against Laos U22, 2-1, at the 33rd SEA Games.
Explaining why coach Kim Sang Sik gave the team a day off from practice, a member of the Vietnam U22 team said it was to help the whole team rest and recover best for the journey to conquer the gold medal of the 33rd SEA Games.
Furthermore, the U22 Vietnam team will not play the final group stage match against U22 Malaysia until December 11, so there is no need to rush.
Coach Kim Sang Sik and his team will return to training tomorrow afternoon (December 6). The limitations in attack and defense of his players in the match with U22 Laos will be corrected and improved by the Korean coach to prepare for more difficult upcoming matches.
Due to being busy with direct training, coach Kim Sang Sik will send his assistant to Rajamangala Stadium to watch the opening match between Malaysia U22 team and Laos U22 team at 4:00 p.m.
From the data collected by the assistants in this match, Coach Kim Sang Sik and the coaching staff will begin to analyze U22 Malaysia more carefully, thereby having the best preparation for the match on December 11.
The goal of the Vietnam U22 team is to defeat Malaysia U22, thereby winning first place in Group B.
