Mr. Le Thanh - CEO of AirX Carbon, the manufacturer of NetZero Pallets, has just announced that the upgraded version of NetZero Pallets, also known as the new generation NetZero Pallets, has been piloted in Coca Cola's automated warehouse system and has initially received attention from many large enterprises including NPC Korea, Hyosung, Olam International and Pakko Australia.

Many reputable development organizations such as UNDP, Switch Asia, GIZ, Action on Poverty, and Helvetas are also supporting the expansion of this model.

The new generation NetZero Pallet is a carbon negative, fully circular pallet solution, made from coconut fiber, coffee husks and agricultural products. This is also the product that won the first prize of the Start-up Wheel 2024 competition.

This is a step forward for this sustainable product. From a product born to solve the pain of the market of consuming agricultural waste, many people were skeptical whether the NetZero Pallet initiative was of enough quality to replace the traditional wooden or plastic pallets that have dominated the market for decades?

However, with the application of AI technology, manufacturers have been able to simulate and optimize pallet designs right from the drawing stage, helping the final product achieve high durability, save costs and can be customized according to the specific needs of each customer.

"This is the core advantage that allows NetZero Pallet to compete with any type of industrial pallet on the market today," Mr. Le Thanh informed.

AirX Carbon plans to replace 10.3 million traditional pallets with NetZero Pallets by 2029, a figure that not only shows its scale but also shows its ambition to become the largest bio-pallet manufacturer in the Asia- Pacific region.

Currently, NetZero Pallet is manufactured at AirX Carbon's high-tech factory in Binh Duong province (now Ho Chi Minh City) with a capacity of 1.5 million products per year, attracting the attention of large domestic and foreign corporations.

Ms. Sarah Hopper - Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City - said that the Australian Government has accompanied this initiative, aiming to create sustainable products with carbon negative materials sourced from the Mekong Delta.

The initiative also shows that developing countries can absolutely become hubs of green innovation, as long as they have strategic thinking, appropriate technology and the support of the international community.

Using no wood, no plastic and completely free of toxic ingredients, each NetZero Pallet is capable of storing up to 34kg of CO₂, making it a certified carbon sequestration solution. This manufacturing process not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions but also helps address local agricultural waste management issues.

According to AirX Carbon’s calculations, every 60 million pallets produced could prevent the felling of around 10 million trees, recycle 2 million tonnes of agricultural by-products and store up to 7 million tonnes of CO₂. More importantly, the initiative creates a stable source of income for over 600,000 farmers and rural workers.
