Rice price today December 3: Rice fluctuates little, fresh rice price is stable

Rice prices today, December 3, 2025, in the Mekong Delta region fluctuated little.

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 5,100 - 5,300 VND/kg; the price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 6,400 - 6,600 VND/kg; the price of OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 6,400 - 6,600 VND/kg; the price of fresh OM 5451 rice fluctuates at 5,400 - 5,600 VND/kg, compared to yesterday.

In many localities today, buying and selling transactions are slow, buyers mainly take rice that has been deposited. In An Giang , farmers continue to hold prices high.

In Dong Thap, the supply is low, the price fluctuates little. In Can Tho , Vinh Long, Tay Ninh, the harvested rice supply is still low, the demand for fragrant and sticky rice is quite good, the price is relatively stable.

Similar to rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province and Lua Rice Viet, currently OM 5451 export raw rice fluctuates at 8,200 - 8,400 VND/kg; IR 504 export raw rice fluctuates at 7,550 - 7,650 VND/kg; CL 555 export raw rice fluctuates at 7,340 - 7,450 VND/kg, an increase of 100 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice fluctuates at 8,700 - 8,900 VND/kg; OM 380 export raw rice fluctuates at 7,200 - 7,300 VND/kg; Soc Det export raw rice fluctuates at 7,600 - 7,800 VND; OM 18 export raw rice fluctuates at 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuated at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Regarding by-products, the prices of by-products fluctuate from 7,400 - 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, Om 5451 broken rice fluctuates at 7,400 - 7,500 VND/kg; the price of bran fluctuates at 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Recorded in localities today, buying and selling transactions are steady, prices of all types of rice fluctuate little. In Can Tho, warehouses are still asking to buy fragrant and sticky rice, prices are stable. In An Giang, large warehouses are buying regularly, choosing rice with OM 5451, OM 18, prices of all types of rice fluctuate little.

In Lap Vo, Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the quantity is small, all types of rice are at the same price. In An Cu - Dong Thap, white rice is bought regularly, other types of rice are bought sporadically, rice prices fluctuate little.

At retail markets, rice prices of all kinds remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND11,000 - 12,000/kg; Huong Lai rice at VND22,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000 - 22,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice at VND21,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice at VND20,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND16,000 - 18,000/kg; common white rice at VND16,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND16,000 - 17,000/kg; Soc Thai rice at VND20,000/kg; Japanese rice at VND22,000/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current price of 5% broken fragrant rice ranges from 420 - 440 USD/ton; 100% broken rice ranges from 314 - 318 USD/ton; and Jasmine rice ranges from 447 - 451 USD/ton.
