Strive to successfully achieve goals, targets and tasks in 2024

Based on the results of the implementation of tasks in 2023 and forecasting advantages and difficulties, in 2024, the province will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, proactive, positive and creative spirit, strive to complete the set goals, targets and tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

Our province is implementing the 2023 tasks in a context of intertwined advantages, difficulties and challenges. However, with the attention, leadership, direction and timely support of the central government, all levels, sectors and localities have taken advantage of opportunities and advantages, focused on leadership, closely and resolutely directed key and urgent tasks and solutions; together with the solidarity, efforts and responsibility of the entire political system and all classes of people, the business community in the province has achieved many results in all fields.

The socio-economic situation has changed positively and grown quite well; it is expected to achieve and exceed 18/22 targets. The GRDP growth rate increased by 9.40%, ranking 9th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide and 2nd out of 14 provinces in the North Central and Central Coast regions. The construction, trade, tourism, energy, industry and agriculture sectors continued to recover and grow well. Investment promotion and attraction work was promoted, the investment environment was improved. The cultural and social sector achieved many results. Important events were successfully organized, especially the ceremony to receive the UNESCO recognition certificate for the Cham pottery art in the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding and the Ninh Thuan Grape and Wine Festival in 2023 was successful and brought positive results. National defense, political security, order and social safety were ensured. The work of building the Party and the political system has achieved many important results. The major policy of strengthening Party building and rectification, streamlining the apparatus, improving the quality and efficiency of the activities of agencies in the political system has continued to be implemented. The work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity has been strengthened.

In addition to the achieved results, the implementation of the 2023 tasks of our province still has difficulties and limitations, such as: Some targets have not been achieved. The processing and manufacturing industry has low growth. Service industries and product taxes have low growth, not reaching the plan. Budget revenue has decreased compared to the same period; disbursement of public investment capital has not met the target, especially the capital for national target programs. The progress of implementing some projects is still slow. The lives of a part of the people are still difficult, especially in ethnic minority and mountainous areas...

2024 is determined to be the year of "acceleration", which is very important for the completion of the goals and tasks according to the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress, the 5-year socio -economic development plan 2021-2025. Based on the results of the implementation of tasks in 2023 and forecasting advantages and difficulties, our province has identified the main directions, tasks and solutions in 2024 as follows: Focusing on prioritizing promoting rapid and sustainable economic growth; restructuring the economy associated with innovation of the growth model, improving productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy. Focusing on implementing 3 breakthroughs: Speeding up the progress of key and inter-regional projects, especially infrastructure projects; perfecting mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties for key development areas; unlocking land resources. Promoting administrative reform, improving the business environment. Comprehensively and synchronously develop the fields of culture, education, improve the quality of human resources, health, and society on par with economic development; focus on ensuring social security, sustainable poverty reduction, and improving the material and spiritual life of the people. Strictly manage and effectively use land and resources, protect the environment, proactively prevent and combat natural disasters, and respond to climate change. Continue to perfect a streamlined apparatus, operate effectively and efficiently, and improve the quality of cadres, civil servants, and public employees. Resolutely prevent and combat corruption, negativity, and waste. Consolidate and strengthen national defense and security, maintain political stability, order, and social safety; improve the effectiveness of foreign affairs and international integration. Build a clean and strong Party and political system.

Some key indicators: GRDP growth rate from 11-12%; GRDP per capita reaches 101-102 million VND/person. Economic structure: Agriculture, forestry and fishery account for 25-26%, industry - construction accounts for 41-42%, services account for 32-33%. Total budget revenue in the area reaches 4,000 billion VND or more. Total social investment capital is about 22,900 billion VND. The rate of multidimensional poor households according to the new standards decreases from 1.5-2% (Bac Ai district decreases by at least 4%). There are 2-3 communes meeting new rural standards; there are 3-4 communes meeting advanced new rural standards. The rate of comprehensively strong communes, wards and towns reaches 70% or more. 800 or more new party members are admitted.
