Speaking at the conference, Secretary of Hoa Vang District Party Committee To Van Hung acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and determination of the political system and people of the entire district in implementing and completing the socio-economic, defense and security targets and plans for 2023.
Thereby, it is requested that agencies, units and localities in the area properly implement the leaders' commitment to the responsibilities of the tasks in 2024; monitor, review and promptly report any difficulties and problems arising during the implementation process.
At the same time, continue to improve the effectiveness of the political system, bring satisfaction to the people and businesses; exploit and make the most of resources and specific policy mechanisms; focus on implementing tasks that contribute to economic growth.
The report at the conference said that in 2023, the added value (VA) of the whole district is estimated to reach 2,760 billion VND, reaching 101.9% of the target in Resolution No. 21/NQ-HDND dated December 23, 2022 of the People's Council of Hoa Vang district, an increase of 4.82% compared to 2022.
Specifically, VA in the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector is estimated at 458 billion VND, up 0.88% compared to 2022; VA in industry - handicrafts and construction is estimated at 795 billion VND, up 3.25% over the same period; VA in trade and services is estimated at 1,507 billion VND, up 6.96%.
The total budget revenue according to the estimate in the district in 2023 is 503,649 billion VND, reaching 99.2% of the city's estimate and 96% of the Hoa Vang District People's Council's estimate.
Average income per capita in 2023 is estimated at 57.5 million VND/person/year, an increase of 11.62% compared to 2022; 333 poor households with working capacity are reduced; jobs are created for 2,376 workers; crude birth rate is estimated at 12.35‰, an increase of 2.11‰ compared to 2022; 100% of military recruitment targets in 2023 are completed, ensuring quality.
In 2024, Hoa Vang district strives to complete and exceed a number of key targets, specifically: added value increases by 4.57% compared to 2023; total state budget revenue increases by 3-5% compared to the city's assigned estimate; reduces 324 poor households according to the city's new standards for the period 2022-2025, creates jobs for 2,300 workers; crude birth rate increases by 0.03‰; average income per capita reaches 64 million VND/person/year; 2 communes meet advanced new rural standards and 2 communes meet model new rural standards...
At the conference, the People's Committee of Hoa Vang district launched an emulation movement to implement socio-economic, national defense and security targets in 2024 associated with the district's annual theme "Year of strengthening discipline and administrative order; continue to perfect the criteria for building the district to achieve type IV urban area"; implementation period is from January to November 2024.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Hoa Vang district also awarded Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to the people and cadres of Hoa Phuoc commune for their achievements in work from 2018-2022, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland; Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the District People's Committee to collectives with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement and performing tasks in 2023.
