The writing contest "Deep Memories of Teachers and School" is organized by the Ministry of Education and Training , with the Education and Times Newspaper as the permanent organizing unit.

The competition is an opportunity to spread positive feelings from students, parents, and guardians towards teachers and schools, contributing to enhancing educational value and fostering pride in each student towards their school, class, and teachers.

In addition, we acknowledge and honor exemplary teachers who have performed well, achieved outstanding results, and made positive contributions to educational reform, as well as educational institutions that have demonstrated innovation and creativity in teaching. This will motivate and encourage teachers to overcome difficulties and continue to contribute to the education sector and society.

At the competition launch ceremony, journalist Trieu Ngoc Lam, Editor-in-Chief of the Education and Training Newspaper and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, shared: "This writing competition is not only a literary playground, but also a meaningful journey to awaken the most genuine emotions in each of us. Through each word, each sentence, we will see beautiful images of teachers and the glorious years of our school days."

The writing contest "Deep Memories of Teachers and School" has been held since 2018 to honor and share the experiences of homeroom teachers who have shown great affection, dedication, and achievements. It encourages students, teachers, educational administrators, and parents to write about their profound memories of their homeroom teachers and their role as homeroom teachers.

Each story will be a building block contributing to the construction of a monument of gratitude and honor for teachers – those who have been and are sowing the seeds for the future of the nation.

Previously, the 2023 writing contest "Deep Memories of Teachers and School" attracted over 80,000 entries. The preliminary judging panel selected 44 entries for the final round. The judging panel then selected and awarded 30 prizes (2 group prizes and 28 individual prizes).

Rules for the 2024 writing contest "Deep Memories of Teachers and School"

The content of the submitted works focuses on profound memories of teachers and school. Specifically, the works express deep impressions of teachers whom the author loves and admires, or the special impact and influence of teachers on the author's learning, understanding, and life-changing experiences (or those of the author's friends and relatives).

The author describes typical and exemplary pedagogical situations and how teachers have resolved them, demonstrating their professional competence, creativity, and affection for their students and their profession. It also includes memories, impressions, and deep emotional attachments to the schools where the author, their friends, and relatives have studied or are currently studying.
