The special issuance ceremony of the postage stamp set "Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)" was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Education Commission and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; members of the Party Central Committee: Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Science and Technology; Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Social Affairs; Mr. Do Tien Sy, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam ; and representatives of leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, and Hanoi city.
According to information at the release ceremony, the stamp set includes 01 stamp and 01 block. The stamp depicts the image of President Ho Chi Minh, the founder of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, depicted in a modern graphic art style, both solemn and close. Uncle Ho's face appears gentle, his eyes shining with faith and aspiration for independence and freedom for the nation. Simple but delicate lines, combined with the main red and yellow colors of the National Flag, create a strong highlight, honoring the great leader, the immortal symbol of patriotism, self-reliance and aspiration for peace of the Vietnamese people.
The block model shows the National Emblem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the map of the Fatherland with the sacred and complete sovereignty of the sea and islands of the national territory. The block background uses the image of a bronze drum, a symbol of a thousand years of civilization, reminding us of the historical roots and depth of national culture.
Stamps are 32x43mm in size; Blocks are 80x100mm in size with face values of 4,000 VND and 19,000 VND. The stamp set was designed by artist Nguyen Du (Vietnam Post Corporation); supplied nationwide at provincial, municipal, central post offices, and transaction post offices from August 26, 2025 to June 30, 2027.
According to the Organizing Committee, the stamp set not only represents the important historical milestone, the day President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, but also affirms the sovereignty, freedom, independence, solidarity, indomitable will and pride of the Vietnamese people over the past 80 years. This is also a tribute to the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, revolutionary predecessors and millions of heroes and martyrs who sacrificed for the independence, unity and territorial integrity of the Fatherland. At the same time, the stamp set conveys the message: after 80 years of construction and development, the Vietnamese people are increasingly prosperous and happy, the country is constantly innovating and integrating deeply, continuing to step firmly into a new era - an era of sustainable development and prosperity.

Also on this occasion, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired the opening of the Press Center for the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
According to Mr. Le Hai Binh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Press Center is the place to organize, direct and guide press activities related to the Anniversary for nearly 1,500 domestic and foreign reporters, editors and reporters. This is also the place to provide information about the Anniversary activities; serve the reporters' work; handle the reporters' requests for press activities. In addition, press information work will contribute significantly to the overall success of the National Day Anniversary - September 2.
"We will create all favorable conditions for domestic and international reporters to report on the Anniversary and proactively and actively provide information from the Organizing Committee about the Anniversary, contributing to the successful organization of the Anniversary according to the set goals, while ensuring the safety and security of the Anniversary," said Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh.
He asked domestic and foreign reporters and editors to report quickly, accurately and comply with working regulations to contribute to the success of this important event.
