According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, the award ceremony not only honors the outstanding achievements of students and teachers, but is also a vivid demonstration of the traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, a relationship that has been sustainably nurtured on the foundation of profound educational cooperation.
The 2025 competition attracted more than 700 contestants from many provinces and cities across the country, demonstrating the growing appeal of Russian to the young generation of Vietnam. According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, the experiences at the Olympics will become valuable assets, nurturing the love for Russian and opening up opportunities for research and study at leading educational institutions in the Russian Federation. The Department of International Cooperation is committed to accompanying schools and students in seeking and expanding training opportunities abroad.

Mr. Mogilevsky Konstantin Ilyich, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, said that many Vietnamese alumni who studied in the former Soviet Union and the Russian Federation today hold high positions and are successful in their fields. He affirmed that Russian universities are ready to create conditions for Vietnamese students to become highly qualified experts in their chosen fields. In addition, Mr. Kostantin said that in May 2025, the two sides signed an agreement to establish the Pushkin Russian Language Center in Vietnam, and the Russian side will continue to increase lecturers, programs and educational activities at the center.

Speaking at the Award Ceremony, Mr. Nikita Vladimirovich Gusev, Director of the AX Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language, expressed his delight at the scale and quality of this year's competition. He said that within the framework of the 3rd Russian Language Olympiad final round, the Organizing Committee had organized seminars to share modern teaching methods with Vietnamese teachers, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning Russian.

Hanoi National University, the first prize winner of the 3rd International Russian Language Olympiad for Vietnamese students, shared: her love for Russian came from her family and her achievements today are thanks to the support of the lecturers at the University of Foreign Languages. The competition is an important turning point that helps her gain more confidence in pursuing her dream of becoming a Russian teacher, continuing to pass on her passion to the next generation.

The International Russian Language Olympiad for Vietnamese students is organized by the Pushkin Institute under the Department of International Cooperation in collaboration with the AX Pushkin State Russian Language Institute (Russian Federation), with the support of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The Russian Language Olympiad contributes to promoting the Russian language, increasing motivation to learn and encouraging studying abroad in the Russian Federation. The winners will have the opportunity to receive scholarships to participate in the "Summer Language Internship Course" in Moscow, Russian Federation. |
