On the evening of November 8, the Front Working Committee of Ward 2 (Ward 6, District 11, Ho Chi Minh City) organized the National Great Unity Day 2023. Attending were comrade Nguyen Ho Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

Speaking at the festival, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai praised the efforts and achievements of Ward 2 in 2023. He suggested that Ward 2 needs to have specific programs and forms to encourage people of all walks of life to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity and working hard to produce and do business to restore the economy .

Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai requested the Front Working Committee to continue promoting propaganda and mobilizing people to participate in environmental protection activities, classify waste at source; overcome unsanitary conditions in alleys and roads... towards building a "bright, green, clean, beautiful, safe, and affectionate" residential area.

Along with that, continue to invest in innovation in content and methods of operation; strengthen the role of supervision and regularly listen to and promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people to propose to the Party Committee, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ward 6 on difficulties and shortcomings when performing tasks in the neighborhood.

The Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also requested the Front Working Committee of Ward 2 to promptly propose to the Party Committee, the government, and the Fatherland Front of Ward 6 to pay attention to praising and rewarding typical and responsible individuals in movement activities and campaigns launched by the locality, in order to expand and create a spillover effect in the community; focus on completing the targets set by the locality.

At the festival, people in Ward 2 signed to carry out projects such as: mobilizing people to expand alley 50 Tran Quy; awarding scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year to students in difficult circumstances; donating means of livelihood to households in difficult circumstances; coordinating and repairing charity houses for households in difficult circumstances in the ward.

On this occasion, the Neighborhood Front Working Committee commended and rewarded exemplary cultural households, examples of "Good people, good deeds" in 2023; and presented gifts to households in difficult circumstances in the area.

In 2023, the Front Working Committee coordinated with the Ward's Sustainable Poverty Reduction Committee to review the need for assistance for each case and thereby mobilize and propose timely support to the ward. The neighborhood also maintains 5 self-managed poverty reduction groups, 2 savings and loan groups with 120 members, and loans of more than 4.2 billion VND... Although the neighborhood still faces many difficulties, the lives of households have gradually improved, especially poor and near-poor households.
